You only need to know basic HTML before you can start to host a website yourself. If you never take to even a step into learning of HTML, you're stuck with freewebs. Simply just learn HTML a bit, and then you can use a real hosting yourself.

You can try Weebly.com - I think there's no limit of having pages and whatsoever.

Oh right, didn't realise they had changed their name. But try Wix, it's a flash site builder which is quite easy to use and the final product is pretty good. There's a small banner add, but you can pay to have it taken off.
