First off, may I ask if you're using a picture of Two-Face to base the pixel on? The numerous portrayals of him changes the anatomy quite drastically.
I didn't use a reference at all to start out, but I just remembered I have two Two-Face Year One comics and am now using those as a loose reference. For this one, I'm going to start with the comment on the face shape. It doesn't match Harvey's head. His jaw is very squarish and rigid whilst yours is round and smooth. The head in your version of Two-Face is oval in shape, whilst Two-Face's is square.
That's true. I'm reworking the face shape and taking that into consideration.Moving onto the most crucial part of Two-Face and your pixel, as well as being one of the factors which distinquishes Two-Face from the crowd: his disfigurement. It's nice to see that you didn't just make the line where normal skin goes to charred flesh a straight one, and that you attempted to stagger it slightly, but it's still not all right. The line shouldn't be all straight, it should cross into the normal skin territory at random intervals. And towards the bottom (the chin and neck) the disfigurement begins to spread into the normal skin side slightly.
Yeah, I wasn't really happy with how that turned out; I was pretty much just sketching it and seeing how it came out, because I didn't have a reference I particularly liked. Again, I'm taking this feedback into consideration as I'm editing the pixel some more.Along with that, I don't like the fact that you chose the purple version of Two-Face. To me, it's the worst one. The disfigurement should be a more reddish/grey shade - not purple. But hey, that's my view.
I always kind of liked the purple Two-Face, but a reddish/gray would be more realistic. I'll stick with purple for now, but I might change it later on if it doesn't turn out good. Personally, though, I like the blue Two-Face from BTAS the least (I liked the character in the show, just not how he looked). As well as that, the eye on the disfigured side shouldn't be all circular. If you examine Two-Face, the eyelids are drooping, showing the ey-ball (which is the all circular bit).
You're right. I'm definitely going to have to rework that. The nose needs some work as well as the shading on the disfigured side (getting tired of saying that).
Yeah, the shading is just a basic idea, not final at all.Onto the mouth/teeth on the 'bad side', the mouth should be extended greatly. The skin covering the mouth is completely burned off and the bad side should clearly show the entire array of teeth until it ends. The gum should also be exposed too. And you've made the teeth so that it's vampire like (all sharp and whatnot). According to the pictures, his teeth are quite fine, some maybe a tad triangular but not so that it makes him Dracula. And concerning the hair - you're still going to do it, right?
What do you mean by "extended"? And yeah, I'm not happy with the teeth at all. I'll probably completely redraw them.
And yes, I'm still going to do the hair.
I must ask though - is he crying? I can't manage to determine what else the blue tear thing is on his normal side.
Yes, he's crying. I'm not sure why I decided to do that, but I kind of felt like showing a private side of him where he thinks about what he's doing or what he's become or something. I dunno, really.Overall though, a nice effort for your first pixel in a while, and I can't wait to see where this goes! If you're wondering what my main source picture was, look
