The dwarfs have cannons and other machinery. RuneScape is a medieval fantasy game. As long as it's skinned to look somewhat medieval, and it's possible for magic to control it, it works. (Magic can control just about everything in RuneScape. Only exceptions are around anti-magic glyphs and the like.)

Anyway, after skimming through it for about 3 minutes or so, it looks like a very well written guide, and very fast too. Great job, Mith.

Awesome work on the guide, Mith ice.gif

Offtopic: Having a look at the Guide-Submitting forum, it's amazing what people will do to get their name on the website, chances are they do it for that and not for the general helping (I'm not talking about this guide).

Someone was even re-writing a guide that had been rewritten a month or two before sleep.gif

Thanks for this guide and I'm glad that our community is becoming better and better,

I wonder... Not so long ago guides were written both a lot faster, with better quality and with a lot more input from fellow questers. If anything the number of people helping out with a guide has diminished, not increased. The whole proces of writing a guide seems to have changed. Look at the second guide (or first if you look at when it was started); one without the levels to even start the quest, starts to write a guide based on information of others. One thing that has to be missing from such a guide are the little things only a quester can write down, because he experienced them. Experience is one factor that decides the quality of a guide, one of the others is the factual information.

Look at it this way: There are plenty of quests that can be done in many different ways. Not the actual things you have to do, but the traveling, where to bank, what to take out of a bank, what armour to use, what order of getting materials, you name it. A guide has to reflect that, or rather, I think a guide has to reflect that. This guide isn't bad, but I wouldn't call it excellent. One thing that has me stumped till this day: Why do you need a rope? It isn't used during the quest, only mentioned by Ali the Wise. Can you finish the quest without it? Dunno.

As-is, it is an ok guide, just not my kind of guide, but who am I to judge? Each has his/her own preferences smile.gif

Yes you can finish the quest without a rope i never had one. But does it really matter in the big scheme of things? No. As for the number of people helping out diminishing, its been that way since Neo stopped writing guides. Neo was fast and nearly perfect when it came to writing guides, its a hard standard to live up to and i dont think many of the forumers have the nerve to try.. i know i dont. No one wants to stick themselves out their for the whole forum to poke at and complain at when they dont get it exactly right, so props goes to those who are trying even if they arent living up to your high standards simple.
