9/10. Very good but you do know that Necromancy is/was the old Prayer. So you have 2 of the same skills.
~~Been playing since 2001.
It was the old magic skill.
Actually, I think Necromancer was one of the 'classes' you choose upon starting the game. It gave a higher level in Magic, which was then split into Good Magic and Evil Magic.
Why the heck would they take that out

That's so awesome imo...
I think the differences between classes was only by a few levels, such as +4 Magic levels. Also, other stats, like HP, were often lowered for non-combat classes (so it is possible for you to have level 8 HP

). You also got different starting items in each class, such as a pickaxe for miners and a Black Wizard Hat and Staff for Wizards/Necromancers. But regardless of what stat you picked, you still gain experience at the same rate, so you can easily chose the Wizard class and not train magic at all, and get your melee stats to high levels instead. So, basically, aside from a headstart in one or two skills, the system didn't do much. And remember, this was long before the game even had a tutorial - so all the items you get when you start the game are exclusively based on your class. After they scrapped the class system, players got the default item bonuses of the well-rounded Adventurer class. That lasted about 8 months, and then we got Tutorial Island. So I'm guessing the main reason they removed classes is because they had little impact on the players (think about how easy your first 5 levels in any skill were

), and the items you got could easily have been either bought from a general store, dropped from weak monsters, or found at an automatic spawn location (such as pickaxes at Lumbridge Castle).
