I saw that Jagex made a poll on the site recently about the movies, asking people about their movie-going habits. This impled to me that they're considering a Runescape movie.
Personally, I'd definitely go see it, I think it would be an interesting way to spend a couple of hours.

I'd definately give it a go, yeah.
I'd see it out of curiosity, I'd be interested to see the whole layout eg. storyline, real actors or CGI etcetera.

I would watch it if I didn't have anything better to do, but I definitely wouldn't be counting the days until opening day.

I'll be in there with my notepad making lists of things they get wrong
Although it might be interesting, I'd be inclined to think that it would be poorly executed.

No. As much as I love playing RuneScape, the story behind it is just not meant to transfer to the big screen. And left in the heads of the wrong director, it could just be a brainless movie where everything in sight is blown up as much as concievably possible (I.E. Transformers 2)

Umm... It'd be scary to be around others who may or may not play RuneScape

I voted I'd be too embarrassed.
If it came out on DVD.. I'd be embarrassed to go and buy it myself, so I'd order it from Amazon or the Jagex Store

Never, I hate game to movie adaptations. Unless the game has a good plot for being turned into a movie. Which Runescape does not, mostly because Runescape has no plot.

RuneScape has a plotline?
I'd probably watch the version people would upload to youtube, and then be disappointed that I even tried to watch it.

It would be 2 and a half hours of someone probably fletching or something... click click.... And then they would probably show a hacked player going into a pvp world with all this amazing armour and just owning everyone... I think more than anything what it would be is like they have a few maxed out players going through each skill starting with the f2p skills and moving to members just sorta like a long long ad for runescape trying to squeeze even more money out of people.

No. Why would people go watch a movie with Runescape characters playing? Maybe if it would be a movie plotted in the Runescape world with a main character going on a quest then i would give it a try.

If it was TehNoobShow the movie, I wouldn't.
If it was a basic Runescape storyline movie, maybe.
If it was a comedy only known to runescape players sense, yes...

Making a RuneScape movie is like making a Halo movie. It just wouldn't fit. it would really mess up everything.
Seriously... I don't think that Al Pacino would consider playing the WoM or Brad Pitt playing Zezima.

Or it could be a movie version of Betrayal at Falador, the runescape book
Ughh lol
It'd probably be live-action, not animated, have a plot and elements of the game (like when people die, they respawn in lumbridge

)

Depends on the story really.
If it focuses on the lore and world of RuneScape in a sort of adventure movie, I'd see it. We'd just have to get a director that would get it right and not totally fail like the Dragonball movie.

In reply to a lot of you who said the plot would be a major problem, they could probably just take one of the quest lines from the game and develop that into the movie. Like someone said, the Plague City quest line would do fairly well as a movie, as long as it was done correctly, in the right hands.
The movie would probably be successful no matter what just thanks to Runescape's ginormous fan base.
