Well my setup is to be music-primary. One of the major reasons I went with these Monitor 10's was because of strong performance across the spectrum. These things are said to have even too much bass; I'll need to see about that exactly. The only downside is I'm going to have to make stands for each. The front is supposed to be 9.25" and the back 8.875" off the ground. I'll probably hack something together for that; probably simple wood stands with an additional back brace (courtesy of over tightening screws; making a simple foot bench support an adult elephant).I'll probably start work on a design now even; it's easy enough to fire up AutoCAD and figure something out with 3/4" thick wood.
I'm going to be borrowing an integrated amplifier a bit later.

My room is rather small so even a solid 45W will probably make them oppressively loud.
I expect to replace the cloth covers ($5/yard at a craft store) and maybe even rebuild the frames on the covers. I hope all the mid-drivers and the sub-woofer is decent condition; I can replace the tweeters easily as I have access to an octet of the same model, pulled years ago from a pair of monster SDA-SRS's.
To be honest, I expect to replace these speakers within the next ~year with a pair of the SDA-CRS's or CRS+'s. Depending on how my budget looks then, a "4.1TL" conversion is in order. Besides that, I've got a few choices for driving them. A Zero DAC/headphone amp/preamp is cheap at $160 or so. An Audio-GD Compass is quite a bit better but costs $360ish.
I can buy any number of vintage or new amps (typically AV receivers in this day and age; the nice thing is that newer AV receivers have internal DACs). What I really look for is linear response from the lowest to the highest frequencies. These speakers are probably going to be bass-heavy, but I can deal with that I guess.
I'll post pictures as soon as I get them setup. Vintage sound goodness.
