I looked, but I couldn't find a thread for this. So, what would be your favorite app? Personally I like Secret Cat, it's an awesome app, pretty much I can store passwords which I always forget and I get to play around too, I still haven't found the easter egg though...

Hard to pick... Probably facebook for usefulness and Shazam for awesomeness.

Anonymous is amazing. You can send emails from emails that aren't yours. I use FML Pro, Wiki mobile, iBeer, iSoda, Zenonia, Real Racing, X-plane, and Worms. And some more

There's too many to pick from a favorite. I don't even have an iPod but I'm picking out some apps that look good so I can download them when I get one.

I use Facebook and Nimbuzz (IM app) so much they virtually automatically get called my 'favourites', but I also love the Assassin's Creed for iPod Touch app I have I've played it all the way through on every difficulty mode, but I still don't find it boring, and the graphics are great considering it's an iPod rather than a proper games console (although Apple seem to be trying to turn it into one). Best £3.49 I've ever spent

Castle Magic is a great game app, along with Need For Speed.
Facebook is great for convenience.
VanillaSky is a great browser in the making - just a few more updates and Safari will be obsolete.

There's nothing wrong with the assassin's creed app; have you ever even played it? It has excellent graphics and gameplay for a mobile phone game.
And I haven't jailbroken my ipod because I see no need to. I'm quite happy with the features I have.

I don't think I've played anything other than Pocket Tanks since I've gotten it.

I know what I'm not missing out on. Apple store tech support. Plus I had previously jailbroken my iPod then restored it when the app store came out. Everything got changed back to factory settings except for my name that a program put in place of "iPod" at the top .

Oh gosh, I wasted many many hours of my life with then on PC...

Other good ones are Tap Tap, FML, Now Playing, iTrippy, Wikipanion, Pocket Tanks, Tap Defense, Flood-it!, Papi Jump, Ping Pong, nin:access, and Intelliremote.

Intelliremote basically lets you control your computer using your iPod as a mouse/keyboard and other stuff. The app is free, but if you get the software you need to run it on your computer from the designer it's $24, but there are ways around that...

That's just an unreasonable amount.

I don't think it is...I have almost as many, and I use most of them regularly. By having lots of apps I can add tons of functionality to my iPod, plus all the games I have mean my DS has now been superseded by my iPod

That's simple: because apps from the iTunes App Store aren't available to other devices.

I'm gonna love filling up my Touch with all kinds of useless games and apps.

Almost all of them are in the order I download them, so I know where they all are, it's organized chaos. I'm at 11 pages now instead of 10.

aquarium (oooh.. TV-apuarium like on DVDs )
beer-simulation
shake-the-coke (You get backgrounds in it, and its funny..)
mirror..

It is kind of alike..
Many useless apps are made for both..

Thank you for talking about Shovel, I just got it and it's great. I've been looking for a good Digg app and never found one, so I just made a bookmark of it and put it on the springboard, which worked fine, but this is way better.

WTF the theme is beast. I spent an hour going through all the themes and they're either ugly and plain or don't have much done. This one changes everything.

Yeah they work with winterboard. I use iPhonebrowser so I can use the USB connection.

Ragdoll Blast is a great time-wasting puzzle game. I played this in my bed till 3:30 this night (morning actually). Waterslide is a pretty good game too. Spore is kinda good too, but maybe a little boring (and pc version beats it, of course). Next is eBuddy (very good IM), iJoke,...

...that's it for legal apps.

Haven't installed too many jailbroken apps yet cos I'll lose them anyway with OS 3 upgrade I'm gonna do.

Yea I read about installing Cydia and Icy at the same time messing up on Gizmodo/Lifehacker a while back. Is Icy even useful?

No one uses Icy. It's fast. It's cool. It has very few repos compared to Cydia.

3.0 is safe enough tbh
