Torn From Black Space
The stars gaze upon me
Mocking my solitude
I stare through the tempered glass
Envying them
All is bleak
We are left in this emptiness
Alone but for each other
No possibility of return
I would wish to be torn from this black space
Simply vanish, my own personal coup de grace
But I am locked in,
Trapped inside an Oasis
The bodies are beginning to pile up
Still screaming their lament
Their loss, their regret
I cover my ears, but the sound still pervades
I see the fractal shadows
Creeping across the walls
Lurking at the threshold
They call me, ask me to join them
I accept, and take their hand
The locks unlatch, and only I see
I am left alone in this Oasis, but for the shadows
The pile topped over
The embalming plaza full
I am torn from black space
Sharing room with the shadows
I greet the stars
And they envy me
The stars gaze upon me
Mocking my solitude
I stare through the tempered glass
Envying them
All is bleak
We are left in this emptiness
Alone but for each other
No possibility of return
I would wish to be torn from this black space
Simply vanish, my own personal coup de grace
But I am locked in,
Trapped inside an Oasis
The bodies are beginning to pile up
