Imperial Forces are closing

Why we closed. Told directly to our members, from one of the leaders:

Now as maybe some of you realize, Imperial isn't getting better from what we've done since maybe March to now. With my leadership skill as what it is, I can honestly keep this clan up as long as I have the will for it, but I make Imperial Forces both for the warring experience and for the sociability. Now for a while Imperial is just on a treadmill, and we're running in circles. I've consistently run through new programs and systems to get members and activity up with the Councils, and now we're just bum out of ideas and can't find a reason other than the members not believing that we're in a bad situation.

So since I can't find any progress in Imperial, it was just a hangout, and watch even after the close I'll have dozens still in my clan chat, JUST for a hangout. The fact just becomes increasingly obvious to the Positions that less people want a clan, and just want their friends around. We have some exceptions, but the real memberbase from us is about 5 not including the Positions.

Just remember that Imperial Forces doesnt close, my will to keep sticking bandages on its broken bones does. When I feel like it, I'll snap my fingers and do some black guy magic, and we'll all MAYBE have a reason to stay on RS.

Unfortunately. i also agreed on closing the clan. it has become more of a socail clan than a warring clan.
there is absolutely no improvement on members being active. how long can u expect the leaders to keep trying to keep this clan alive? we tried so many ways to get you all involved but nothing works.

I too will remain clanless. I thought someone had hacked us or something, or thought a rank had gone crazy or something, wouldn't have believed that we're actually... closed... without a press conferance.
I ain't going anywhere until I'm forced, I'm still gonna check for life on the forums and invade red's chat if I'm on.
Maybe it can be explained by the ammount of high levels, but I don't think I'm the only one who noticed something about us. We're elite.
In our glory days we regularly owned against the odds. My fellow low-levels have probably seen this effect as well, we can stand our ground on the battlefield.

Staring at the blinking line... I could sprout more things to say, but I'll just leave my simple point: Imperial Forces/Runescape Knights rocks, always has and always will. Some of our members will go on to join or create their own clans, and when those clans die, new faces will come but some group will be formed in which the leet spirit lingers.
A positive effect we've generated will always keep going. You started something awesome, and led it well with your cool no-nonsense yet slightly zany way that good leaders seem to develop.
I had thought that if Imperial ever closed down, I'd swoop in to keep our community going by way of a self-made clan made up of former Imperials. That's dumb, my life needs to come first as I go into high school and then college, and I don't have the time or the will needed to lead effectively.
I made a vow a long time ago in the dead forums of Ashes of Zamorak that I'd stick with Imperial, but there's nothing to be done now. Goodbye RS!

Imperial was one of the best warring clans for it's levels, clean piling.

well, i thought i would never see the day when imperial forces closed... i always hoped it would go on long enough for me to rejoin sometime. I think i had the best times of runescape in imperial forces. Only problem was that i always argued with red most of the time i did it on purpose to annoy him and it came around to bite me in the butt...

Best of luck to those who were imperial forces. and to you dh recruiter this is not the time nor place for you to say that

Goodbye IF. It'll be sad to see you guys go. Not the most active clan, but a great community from what I've seen in these forums, and a well-known clan all around. The Runescape community will miss you guys, best of luck to whatever the members choose to do!
