Well, they had to do something to offset the BCS completely robbing Texas of a National Title last year.

MSU! Keith Nichol better start. He was QB at my high school and gave us so many wins and a State Championship. His brother, Kyle, is great to. Hopefully MSU can turn it around now that Hoyer is gone.

Maryland will either suck or be godly this season. I just never know anymore.

ESPN's Bowl Projections^

Florida v Texas is almost a given.

How about that OU/Boise State Tostitos Bowl projection, that would be one hell of a rematch from last time tongue.gif

NCAA Division I Football is one of my favorite sports leagues. Penn State is my team. We lost many solid players but Joe Paterno will find a way to beat up the Big Ten. smile.gif

The BCS has already proven that it doesn't matter when Texas beats OU...
blad
Ahhh, of course, how the world is out to get Texas.

For a Heisman winner Sam Bradford sure isn't getting much respect. I know McCoy and Tebow are great QBs, but having Colt on the front of ESPN mag and OSU on the front of SI is kind of a slap in the face.

Pepper, can we at least agree in Tebow hate?

Just saying that Bradford was given the Heisman doesn't help your argument that the world doesn't despise Texas tongue.gif In fact it only supports mine tongue.gif

Penn State should win the Big Ten happy.gif Let's go Penn State. They might end up going undefeated and playing in the national championship game (which would be very upsetting to many of you).

I predict Texas wins the national championship, maybe I would say Florida if I didn't hate Florida much.

PSU will pretty much have to go undefeated to have a chance, and even then I'd say it's only possible if OU, Texas and Florida all lose at least once. The Big Ten just isn't that strong when you compare it with the Big 12 South or SEC.
Grand
Well let's face it...
Colt McCoy is clearly the best all around QB. For God's sake, he had 78% completion last year. And no doubt that he has speed, maybe not power like Tebow... but he is pretty fast.

I'm pumped for this season.

It's halftime... OU 10 BYU 7... some bum from BYU just knocked out Bradford. Of course no flag. what the hell is this

So um am I the only person who is amazed that UGA lost? Not that I'm upset...but it's kinda weird. imo.

Need I remind you of Texas' bowl game? They lost to the Buckeyes in clutch if I recall correctly. Also, they focused even less on running but you saw the Gators' pass defense in the title game.

Is he already being said to be out for the year?!

I wouldn't have been completely outraged if it was called roughing the passer, but it didn't look like a flag to me. It's a shame Sam Bradford is injured, anyway.
D-Jizzy
Gators take it 62-3

not like I didn't see it coming
Maggotswr
let me start off by saying that i dislike the BCS...it seems pathetic, which is fitting because that is how i feel about football in general.....that was not intended to offend anyone

but as a student at the University of Washington i am almost forced to root for the football team and since todays game didn't seem all that bad then maybe if all ends perfectly....Rose Bowl....i know its absurd but one can dream right? tongue.gif
D-Jizzy
Damn. 31-23. That was pretty good for a 0-12 team.

Yeah I agree, the BCS is pretty useless. But it worked right last year, I think. I'd say most non-Texas fans would agree that UF-OU was the right call, and frankly, that's the one that matters. Maybe Utah should have gotten it, but I think UF-OU was the best call given the available knowledge at the time.

Hindsight is 20/20 amirite

A playoff system would make college football more fair, but I think it would be a lot less exciting during the regular season. In the BCS every game matters and if you bring your B game to a game your season could be ruined.

I heard that Bradford is supposed to be out for atleast two weeks, so he will be back for most, if not all, of the Big 12 games. OU's national title hopes aren't gone yet.

Ok then.

What happens when 3 teams go 11-1. Each team loses to an unranked team by bringing their B game to their loss. Who gets into the title game now?

Since you're a Gator in my recollection...

...yep tongue.gif

If there was EVER a year I'd pick for the Gators to go 14-0, this would be it, tbh. All 11 defensive starters back? Based on last year's domineering D, it's going to be even tougher to beat the Gators.

National Chomps back to back is the obvious prediction here. It's why people were like "WTF" when those two reporters picked Texas for #1. I mean. 20 returning starters. Come on.

Of course I am. If Tennessee can't beat UCLA then what chance do they have against the Gators in the Swamp? I'd say none at all.

There is no doubt in my mind Florida will be the National Champions once again. There is doubt, however, that they will go 14-0, but this is the best chance they've had in a long time.
