The Odd Old Man is again in need of a hand, but this time it’s not all going to be about bones. Apparently, he has new needs that will require adventurers to seek the hides, pelts and skins of creatures commonly found in the Fremennik Province.

Players will be able to allow the Odd Old Man to take his plan fur-ther. More experienced players will then be able to help him the rest of the way, getting extra rewards and uncovering the truth behind one of RuneScape’s most guarded secrets – just what is in that mumbling bonesack?

Summary:

Where to start Fur 'n' Seek:
Speak to the Odd Old Man near his shack between Varrock and Paterdomus.

Requirements to complete Fur 'n' Seek:
25 Slayer
An advised combat level of 50
Must have completed Rag and Bone Man (the quest, not the wish list)

In other news...

For those of you who might have missed it last week, we reintroduced some features to the Grand Exchange section of the website, including a 30-day average line to the graphs.

Beserker ring can now be imbued by Mobilising Armies officers, just like the other Fremennik rings.

No, they are foxes. Try looking closer- they're small.

There are a few hobgoblins with the rock crabs north of Rellekka

The foxes are pretty much all over the place near the bridge.

Think about, we get a few tiny updates, a week of no update, and then a simple (for them to make) quest. There must be something big coming in the next few weeks.

This quest is ridiculously easy - WAY easier than Rag & Bone man. It took me approximately 20 minutes from start to finish, and the only reason it took THAT long was the large numbers of people camping at/competing for the adult black unicorns. The creatures drop the skin on the first kill.

The second wish list, now... that's going to take some doing. laugh.gif

I believe they're in the woods all along the southern coastline; the Fenris Wolves are north of the area marked on the picture. However I agree that the best place to find foxes is just above the shortcut from Sinclair Mansion.

Someone else asked about Hobgoblins - there's a couple of them on the *north* coastline of the in-town rock crab area; east of where you take the boat to Jatiz/Neitiz. Hasn't been determined yet whether the ones on Waterbirth count.

You can't use the hobgoblins south of Falador; all the skins for this quest have to be gotten in the Fremennik Province.

Actually, I don't think that means going to God Wars, but I could be wrong. Ogres are followers of Bandos, so my guess is that it's either an Ogre, or the Ourg in the Bandos Throne Room.

For anyone who's wondering, the second wish list is somewhat in riddle form. I didn't get a screen shot but did make notes:

1) Foot of a large ape-like creature. I'm guessing either a gorilla on Ape Atoll, or a Horror (Cave or Jungle) on Mos Le'Harmless.
2) Sabre-like teeth - most likely a sabre-toothed kyatt.
3) Long, sharp claws - I'm guessing Talon Beast talons.
4) 3rd leg of an adult 3-legged creature - probably a large Turoth.
5) Tail bones of 9 different dragons. I'm guessing that means green, blue, red, black, bronze, iron, steel, mithril, and brutal green. huh.gif
6) Camel (I forget exactly which part)
7) Spine of a giant snake - I'm thinking Sea Snake under the Miscellania castle.
8) Very large hand - probably a large Crawling Hand, if not, then my guess is a giant's hand.
9) Pelvis of a 4-legged water creature that attacks with magic and lives in caves - most likely an Aquanite.
10) Femur of a large follower of Bandos - again, I'm betting an Ork or Ourg in the Bandos Throne Room.
11) Large tortoise (I forget which body part) - Gnome war tortoise, or Warped Tortoise.
12) Golden Fleece - same process as getting one for a Magic Lyre, I presume.

people were saying that this was coming and I wished it wasn't, sadly this will be like rag and bone man or i'd be on g.e. buying the stuff.

chaos9999
For the wish list, it might be wanting snakes from Temple Trekking, and Skeletal Hands from the Vampyre capital city.
KaBob799
Probably Sea Snakes or Big Snakes
Serendipity
Bad reward, easy to complete quest. It was just really time consuming due to everyone camping spawns of the unicorns.

You obviously haven't done the wish list...
Serendipity
Well the wishlist is not part of the quest smile.gif

Might start on the new one after I fish some more.
KaBob799
Yeah but it is basically part of the reward.

EDIT: second part has a level 320 Skeletal Horror boss which you can fight every week.

Yikes, I see I missed "shoulder of a giant". laugh.gif And I didn't think of the Wyverns.... but IIRC it's been specified they're not Dragons? Hmmmm.
And I'd forgotten Bork!

I can now verify that #1 is indeed the Guards on Ape Atoll - just got my foot bone from them. I can also verify that Sea Snakes work for #8 (which doesn't rule out the other large snakes).

And since #7 is *specifically* a giant, then #9 has got to be a Crawling Hand. Think I'll try that after I go kill a few Turoth (they're my current Slayer Assignment anyway).
Editing to add: #4 being a large Turoth confirmed - I just got a fibula from one.

Interesting! So it sounds like any Hobgoblins will work.
