Okay so I made a underbanner for someone and saved as .png so the file would not be big and it is easier to deal with. I saved it and they wanted something changed so I opened it and the unberbanner was in all 1 layer. Is there any way to like change the color of the text/font and such and get the layers back or do I have to start over?

Unfortunately, if you didn't save it as a .psd, when you reopen it it's all just saved pixels in a specific order, rather than layers. You'll have to start all over
