There's lots of topic about your favorite bands, guitar/bass players, artist, and more. So I wanted to do something different using the bands or artists you like already
So, post below on what artist or band you like but you wouldn't tell your friends or family right away

Maybe its because you don't want them to think you listen to mainstream radio or a certain genre for example

Name some artist or bands you like but you don't want to admit. This is optional but you can tell why you wouldn't want to admit to liking the artist or band.
For me, I love the bands Toto and Steely Dan. I don't tell my friends this right away because they wouldn't know what and who I'm talking about, music wise

These bands are from the late 1970's

I don't know why anyone wouldn't want to admit liking Steely Dan. They're an excellent band and generally respected as great artists.
I have no problem admitting any music I like, personally.

First ones that comes to mind is Ani DiFranco, Diamanda Galas, Frank Zappa, and The Residents. But if for some reason I have to drop Their names I'll always warn Them that They might have a hard time stomaching this kind of music, especially if They haven't been completely weaned off the radio and/or American Idol. Never gotten a good review so far.

I have a hard time admitting to be a fan of ABBA. Now, I'm not a harcore Souper Trouper, but alot of their music is quite catchy.

Linkin Park- Their hated because they changed their style abit and went a little mainstream but doesn't every band at some point? Their 32(ish) they're aloud to stop pretending their angsty 19 year olds aren't they?

I don't have any bands I like that I'm ashamed of because I simply don't care what others think of my music choice.

To name a few bands that are pretty much hated around here; Fall Out Boy, Green Day, Linkin Park, and some more.

Most of my friends are really big metal heads, so I generally don't share the kinds of music I listen to these days as my music taste has broadened recently.
I will always hold a spot in my heart for BSB, 5ive and of course the legend that is Johnny Cash <3

I'm always a little embarrassed to admit that I like listening to the oldies radio station in the car. Maybe it's just what I'm used to (because it's what my mom listens to in the car) but I just like 60's 70's and 80's hit songs more than today's stuff.
