A topic about braces. I never had braces, and I likely will not need them.

I have braces right now, but only the top set. I'm going to get the bottom set in a couple weeks or so. My bottom teeth are horrible D:.

Gotta have em on for 2 1/2 years, so far it's been about 6 months.

I currently have a fixed brace on my top front teeth and a removable appliance (twin-block) to realign my jaw. I don't have a clue when I get them off.

Had top/bottom braces for two months. 22 months to go.

They really don't hurt at all.

Yep, I was only supposed to have them on for 18 months but it's now been a bit over 3 years. I'm really glad I got them, although can't wait to get them off.

Never had any, dentist says I'll never need any.

Not had any so far, but my teeth are a little bit unaligned and wonky and I have a tooth growing in the wrong place, so chances are I'll need one.

I had braces when I was 13.... They weren't fun...

I'm getting them in the future. I'm going to have them for 1-2 years.

I got them on like May 24 of this year, top and bottom, and am going to have them for like 12 to 14 months total.

I'm 13.

I'm going to need them. My teeth are horrible.

I've never had them. When I was about 9 I was told by the orthodontist I would either need to have braces, or have 4 teeth taken out (apparently there wasn't enough room in my mouth for them to form properly). I hated the idea of braces so I opted to have 4 teeth taken out. They put me to sleep, I woke up an hour later and they'd taken 11 teeth out.

Thankfully my teeth are too straight already to get braces. But I heard they really hurt, especially when you have them tightened.

That's pretty much how it's been for me, though not quite as long. I was told 1.5-2 years and it's been 2 years (I got them the end of August 2 years ago). My orthodontist has been implying that they'll be coming off soon for 6 months now.. Every time I go in, he always says he's just making small adjustments to the spaces between my teeth (I'm going to be getting 2 implants I believe, so the spaces for them need to be just right). I'm just hoping I'll be able to get them off before the end of the year.

And as glad as I am that I got them, they're such a pain in the . Every time I eat anything, food gets stuck in my braces and my tongue gets sore from trying to pick all of it out. I just can't wait for the damn things to come off (hopefully soon ).

i'm supposed to get them off around march. that'll be the 2 year point

I HAVE a retainer right now, doesn't annoy me really and you can't really see it.

Im suppose to have them on for 18 months, but two of the parts broke off so thats an extra four months

Never i wish i did though i have 3 teeth so crooked that there in behindmy other teeth.

I got them about 2 and a half years ago.

My teeth really hurt at the moment; I got my braces tightened yesterday. I got the colour changed from pink to blue though. :3

The last six months of my orthodontic treatment is being started again from scratch. I hope I can get them off before I leave school.

Nope no braces, a couple cavities but no braces.
