What's a better browser, google chrome or mozilla firefox 3.5.2( which i currently use.)?
Caboose
I use a mixture of the two, depending on my mood and what i'm doing. They're both fine choices, whatever floats your boat.

For speed I find they are both around the same; Chrome starts up a little faster, but the speed of page loading is very similar. Chrome has some great security features (like its sandboxing approach), but Firefox is also good - both browsers are very secure. Use both, see which you prefer and use that.

I love Firefox's addons, and a few other features (like being able to hold down and having it skip to the end of the textbox instead of holding down then holding right). I haven't used Chrome yet, but the way it sounds it's a little faster and a little cleaner than Firefox but with a couple extra bugs and a few less features.

I just downloaded Opera today, though, and it's pretty cool. Both Chrome and Opera are worth trying. They're not exactly huge downloads, and they're both pretty good browsers. Most of the time it's just down to personal preference (except with IE, that's just horrible), so I would try it and make your own decision if I were you.

About the speed and safety thing. From what I've heard, Opera is the fastest, and Chrome is second with Firefox a close third. I don't think Chrome supports McAfee Siteadvisor or AVG's site rating thing, though, so Firefox is probably safer.

Yeah, I agree that Opera is worth trying too. However just to add to what you said about security, there is a lot more to security than link scanners like WOT or McAfee SiteAdvisor, although I'm not denying they're very useful tools. If you want to use WOT on Chrome/Opera/another browser that doesn't support the add-on, they have a bookmarklet you can get from the main site. I've used it and I find it works quite well, although I still choose the add-on over it if that's an option.

Opera, Chrome. and Fire Fox are almost the same;
Opera is like a in between thing with both of them. (From what I hear)
Chrome loads faster but is less safe.
Fire Fox is extremely safe (If your not going to the wrong sites in the first place. tongue.gif) and goes fast, just not as fast as Chrome. And it is customizable, I mean you can do what ever you want with FF, weather you make it purposely faster or changing the skin of facebook. It's all there. (And you can black Ad's with FF.)

I'm going to try Opera right now. happy.gif And if they take up room then delete it.

Actually they're very different. Firefox is more customizable like you said, and the second most popular browser after IE. Opera is fast with a very different interface. It has a low market share, which is a shame because Opera has so many features that others don't, like built-in BitTorrent support. Chrome is a minimalist, "no-frills" browser that is fast, has a clean interface and has a very solid security foundation, certainly no worse than that of Firefox or Opera. Why did you say Chrome is less secure? huh.gif And you can block ads in any browser, or even system-wide, although Firefox makes it very easy with its Adblock Plus add-on.

I think AdBlock isn't as good as NoScript.

Blocking XSS and other malicious scripts ftw

It's a minor hassle but I have determined a good tutorial for using NoScript so that it's unintrusive and can become ur beztest budy lol

The Yahoo toolbar is a result of you skipping through installations without reading everything. smile.gif

I do like customization, but some peoples skins are horrid.

I prefer Chrome because it's slick, sleek and simple. It starts up and loads much faster than Firefox on my own experience.
Firefox is a good choice too. I just like Chrome because it can do basically everything so easily and simply.

Winner!

Chrome seems to start up slower for me but with my cool-a theme and handy bookmark icons with Google Toolbar icons I won't settle for less

not to mention adblock
