When I was a younger strapping lad, I played in a dozen crappy punk bands. Toured a few times up and down the coast, played some good shows, released a few vinyl 7"s, drank a lot of beer. And that's about it.

I'm in a band but can't really play anything. I can't sing either.

I'm basically a songwriter who can't sing.

I used to be the drummer for a band when i was 15 we called ourselves Divine Bloodshed. We wrote our own songs and played a few shows but all our songs were literally just bad Limp Bizkit imitations to the point where it just sounded like we forgot the lyrics and were doing a poor job at improvising. We were all pretty damn good musicians individually but together we failed hard. I'm sure one of my former bandmantes has a video i'll have to look into it.

Somewhat of the same situation, except my band actually plays a lot of original songs, which are IMO not half bad for our age. I arrange/write most of our stuff, and play bass (Although I'm heavily involved in keyboard and guitar, picking up one up for at least 25% of practice). We have bass, lead guitar, rhythm guitar/keyboard, and drums. Pretty much everyone plays each others instruments to a certain degree too Vocals move around, but usually are with the keyboardist.

I recently finished an album. It's electronica/minimalism/ambient.
A few people on here have heard it and like it. There's more info on my blog if you're interested.
I also play drums for a shoegaze band and I play in another post-rock band for whom I play synths, keyboard, guitar, bass, drums and on one song; harmonica.

I have yet to join a band, sadly.

I've only not joined a band because I don't think I've got enough drumming chops to pull off a full gig >_<
