I am so looking forward to the world cup, it will be a great showcase for World TALENT. Not stupid talent contest, but something to make someone a hero or a villain.

Based on England's 5-1 victory to Croatia on Wednesday (which I was at) I'd think they'll be seeded along with Spain and Holland, and possibly a few other teams, so they'll have the advantage until the Second Round.

In all honesty, a win against Croatia isn't really all that great of an accomplishment. I don't think you can fairly compare them with teams that have had to play much more difficult competition based on that game.

Yeah, I don't get why they call it soccer either... I mean, it does use the foot A LOOOOT more than their "football".

I don't have a special team in the Premier League, but my sympathies lay with Tottenham, and I'd rather see Arsenal win than Man U.

I'm also Real Madrid, and am seriously hoping that they beat the crap out of Barcelona this season
Then, these World Cup qualifiers have been interesting, I've been watching the CONCACAF ones mainly, since my national team is Honduras, I think we have a good chance to make it into the world cup, if we beat the USA team next month (hopefully I'll go to the stadium ). It's been pretty interesting too, I'm disappointed at Argentina and France this year... And I'm all for Spain winning the World Cup in South Africa!

As always, I will be supporting Ecuador on their World Cup conquest.

Croatia are a pretty good team. They got to the Semi finals in 1998, and despite a slight lapse have been very good in recent years, especially around about Euro 2008

True, but they were poop on Wednesday. England played well but there is still a heck of a way to go. But... I do think Capello is the man for the job, his clinical no-nonsense approach is working well for the side.

Well, I say I am but it's mainly just to please my dad, who's mad about football I'll watch the occasional match and I have a United shirt, but I prefer playing football than watching it

Scrum, we were most definitely not firing on all cylinders. We still have the chronic problem of players relaxing after a comfortable lead and letting their concentration go (last 2 matches were prime examples, in both a number of silly mistakes at the back led to an unnecessary Goal against us) and Heskey/Rooney between them missed 3 sitters. The main story of the Score is that Croatia were too inconsistent, and the reception their attacking players were getting was very poor. And the Goalie had a howler

Heskey isn't a much of a goalscorer anyway.

And 4-1 is a comfortable lead by most stretches. And we were firing on many cylinders??

England doesn't seem to be doing bad, really, I just don't think it will get too far in the actual World Cup (sadly, as usual )

Yeah, but it really lies on our group. If we come 2nd in the group we might go out in the 2nd round. But with Capello's no nonsense and hoping that England are fit and on form, I think our Best 11 could do very well this time round.

I don't really follow football that much, but I always watch the world cup. And I don't support any teams in any leagues, I just choose a team for each game to support.

I think the US will actually do well in the Cup this year...they may even win. Who knows. If there was a year I would pick the US to win, though, this would totally be it.

I really dislike Italian players, all they do is dive, cry, and pitch fits. It's so ridiculous. I hate footy every time I watch Italians play. I'm reminded of why Americans hate footy.

For all those who hate the name Soccer, it's still a proper name. The technical name is Association Football. Soccer comes from the Association part.

I love and play soccer myself, but I actually never watch any. I'm just gonna pick a team probably and support them for the World Cup. Probably some underdog team.
