We've taken the opportunity to rework the RuneScape Theme. The original is still in your music list as "Scape Main", the new one being called "Scape Theme".

We hope you feel (as we do) that it is an improvement. Please feel free to leave comments and suggestions on this thread, and don't forget to let us know what you think about the overall game audio via the Audio thread:

Bought time they changed it, IMO. Comparing it to the first one, it sounds freaking amazing. So many more distinct sounds in there blended VERY well.

You know, I really don't like it, tbh. It seems kind of... soulless.

I really wish they would make a completely different tune in place of this. It may or may not be better than the last one - I wasn't really a music critic when they last redid the theme, and I'm too used to it now to form a decent opinion of it - but in any case, it just seems like a tune. Not something representing an epic game, just a little ditty.

I appreciate the new complexity of it, though. It won't be TOO grating to listen to anymore...

I like how it's not too epic, it's just a great melody for Runescape itself. It's kind of modest in that way, if that makes any sense.

I think it sounds great, when I first heard it yesterday morning I had not seen a news post about it, so I was thinking maybe it was in the game too, then I went to play Scape Main and was let down.

So it's great to know it actually is in the game.
