I see all these people asking for jobs and making all these companies and shops but how do the shops work?
Like do you hire employees and whatever a user requests for the employees complete the order? And if I work for a company do I get paid by the manager or do I sell the items that I made to the person who wants them. Can someone explain to me please?

It depends on the company. Normally people request an x quantity of x item. Someone does that request, and they can either give it to the owner who then sells it, or they can sell it directly to the person that requested x item.
