Full Version: Converting To Pdf

OK, I have the JPG files, but I need something to convert them to PDF files. It's about 25 pages or so, and I have it saved both as individual pages and as one long image file, so I can use either. I've tried the thing on share.acrobat.com, but it keeps giving me blank pages and uploading my files wrong and I don't have time to figure out what the heck is wrong with it.

I don't want any sort of link or trademark or anything on the bottom or anywhere like some free converters I've found, even thought they worked. I'm willing to pay, but only minimal amounts. I'm not going to buy Adobe Acrobat, because I'm only getting about $200 or so out of this thing, and I'm only going to be doing this once a year for the next 3 years or less. It's really not worth it.

I'm also willing to e-mail the files to someone with Adobe Acrobat or something, as long as they can get it done and e-mailed to me by tomorrow morning (EST). I'm really right at the end of my deadline here.

It's going to a printer, so I don't have any choice in format here. Can someone give me a link to some website or download that can do this for me?

EDIT: OK, I'm downloading the trial version of Acrobat, but I still need something to use next year. And I'm not pirating/hacking/cracking the thing. I'm Christian so I try to stay legal as much as I can, and no one's allowed to explain how to do it on Sal's anyway.

Try PrimoPDF found in the free software sticky.

Couldn't you have brought them into Word and then Printed them as PDF's, or Exported them as PDF's? I know I can do that on Office for Mac 08 and iWorks '08. That's saved my butt many times. And I believe OpenOffice does the same thing, too.

Worst comes to worst, email them to me and I'll do it for you.

My Vista came with just a trial version of the Office set, and that expired long ago. I've never had a good reason to buy the full version. I wonder if Works can export as PDF...

I'll check into them both in the morning. Right now I really need some sleep.

I sometimes create something in Works and then "Print" it using CutePDF Writer. It is also a free program. It is seen as a printer so you chose to "print" the document you create and then you can chose where to save your PDF and it will write the PDF to where you save it. You can then open it with Adobe, Foxit or any other PDF reader.

If it interests you, Foxit also has a program that will edit any PDF you create but, unless you pay for it, it leaves a red watermark on any page you edit.
