Hello everyone, you might remember that in the last released SalCast episode (SC14), we mentioned something about changes in the way we do things, big changes. Well, there's a lot to explain about these changes, but for various reasons, we're just going to skip over that and get to the lowdown of what's going on here. So, over the past two months (gosh, has it been that long already?!), the SalCast team has been working hard creating and fine-tuning our new system. We've made MANY changes to the way we do things on the SalCast, this is why we are posting this to let you know that we really want you in to make the SalCast a better podcast!

I suppose it is a fair system, I doubt I will join in the near future, good luck on the next salcast though.

Guys, if you do not want the Salcast to be as bad as 'Salcat 14', join and fix it! We've completely rebuilt our organization, and want new people to help with our fresh start!

seriously, all the sections(mostly literature and graphics) and crap(especially scripts) doesn't belong in a podcast. It should be in the newspaper

Reap, I don't believe they're doing scripts anymore.

I think that if the podcast needs a new group of people to start fresh on, why not? This has been brought up to the newspaper before, and we have not tried it, out of fear those new members would just become inactive.

If these guys want to be brave and go for something new, why not? I'm sure they've discussed the consequences.

Hint: Writers don't write scripts, they go out and find interesting stuff to talk abut. Sections aren't really gonna mean too much, it's just a way for us to find a particular thing to focus on as opposed to jumping in completely illogical (and awful) ways.


Really, the emphasis was supposed to be on finding new hosts for the 'cast. We need more hosts.

I swear I have tried to rejoin more than once. I really want to be back in the SalCast as a writer. I'll resubmit an app later Good luck guys!

It's hilarious how we've already got four apps, and Ent thought we'd only get like five in total

So are you guys still going to do the "talk and awkward pause method" or are you actually going to have people talk at teh same time?
also make sure the hosts have good mics or it kind of ruins the 'cast

and just listen to a good podcast to get ideas

I really enjoyed the part in of Men and Demons like this:
In the midst of the chaos, a lone human stood. He was known as Vir, and was one of the army’s valiant heroes. He began charging at the demonic leader. Both armies were stunned that a man could do such a thing, to defy a creature of such strength. Unsure of what to do, the Demon Lord smashed his maul against him, but to the shock of both armies, he missed. Vir approached the demon rapidly before finally plunging his spear into the heart of the creature. The beast immediately fell. The demons were in an uproar, and once again both armies charged. The clash that followed was one not to forget: thousands died within minutes, and many more casualties followed.

Let's simply try it out first at least. I could be the only one talking about it, giving reviews and things like that. At least it's something new to try. It might not be everyone's cup of tea but we do plan on creating a playlist so you can see what bit's are where so you can choose where you want to listen from.

Sounds good and all, but it means nothing when nobody is actually doing anything.

The plan looks good, but I'm expecting the execution won't be good enough.

Don't worry about it at all. I'm taking care of it, I'm not going to screw anything up. And I certainly won't let Fatal screw things up.

I think it's a good plan I just applied but I donn't think i'll get in.

Mic quality isn't much an issue - as long as it's not awful. Part of an amateur podcast is the lower quality sound, it's just the way things roll.

And we're going to do it as a discussion. (why don't you join, if you have the interest enough to post here frequently?)

If you're talking about for hosting, the hosting times are usually fluent around the hosts' schedules.

And timezones ;)
So usually like... 15:00-16:00 (GMT-5) starting time, and that lasts about 1-2 hours.
