Shoes
By Dylan Best
A million people walk through the streets
Not giving a care to were they step
but if the sidewalk could talk this is what it would say
but if the sidewalk could talk this is what it would say
Shoes tell a lot of a person
I know a million people just by their step
The widowed woman worrying about the rent
The man afraid to lose his job lest he be poor
The merry children who make friends with any
The homeless beggar who really only needs a friend
The rich shop owner who cares about nothing but money
And now I tell you this :
Treat people as equals
Treat your shoes right
And most important, be careful who you ignore because your shoes could be alike

The Library
Stacks of books piled on the shelves
Looking like they've been stacked by little elves
The magic inside every book brings happiness to the world
An adventure waiting behind every cover just waiting to be unfurled
A librarian always there to help find the right book
To help you find that special one they'll look in every nook
They care for the books like a mother to their child
The books are carefully checked, found, and filed
To enter this special world you only need one thing
A library card not to be confused with the spade king
The library is my home and the book's
But now I have to read about a wealthy cook
Good day to you in the library
Now bye, I mustn't tarry

The Circus

Some elephants enter from the far side flap, the audience begins to clap
The monkeys rocket out of the cannon followed by a dog named Sharon
The acrobat bakes a cake while teaching a dog to roller skate
the lipperzanners form a pyramid; the dancing penguins seem a bit timid
the lipperzanners form a pyramid; the dancing penguins seem a bit timid
Were coming to our final act, I know that for a fact
The horses dance and sing, while the penguins jump through a ring
Fire burst up from the ground
The ringmaster steps up onto a mound
"Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for watching our performance"
