Excuse me, good sir, but we aren't 18. We don't have a choice to live where we want to live, unless we want to be poor runaways. You live in CA because your parents want to stay there. My parents chose to move, and they'd live in NYC if it weren't for their jobs.

I like Phoenix, so I prolly like LA more.
Never been to NYC either, though.

NYC since my entire family except for me and my grandma live in and around LA and when i'm tourisming i'de like some peace and quite not my mom trying too act like my sister/Female buddy. Also having lived in LA everythings a been there done that kinda thing where as i've only been to New York once and that was 3 days after i'de gotten over the contagious/severe part of SARS so i never actually got to experience it.
EDIT: But then again i've heard New York has a major FML factor in the winter and after that one winter in Winnipeg and several in the Toronto area i'm done w/ winter.

Even though I'm from the UK, I have to say...New York ftw!
New York seems to glow where LA just lookes like the gloomy city of sin. =p Newyork seems to share a certain cultural gleam that other European cities posses (Paris(and most french¢ral european cities), London,Amsterdam, Barcelona etc...), where as LA seems way to modern, and a place where you either fail big time or win big time.
+ New York is named after York, the capital of Yorkshire (the part of England I live in/random)

LA is just ew. Traffic + California + no football (USC does NOT count as football).
That is all.

If you don't care, don't post, seriously. But since you're here, just vote for NYC. It's in much more like London than L.A. You'd probably be very uncomfortable in L.A.

Even if the winters are cold, winter isn't as bad when you're in the middle of a city. You can travel in the warmth of a subway or bus and you'll probably spend plenty of time inside. The winters are cold, but I love them. In the winter time, New York really is an urban winter wonderland. It's very romantic.

Wasn't so much reffering to the cold as much as the shizzleloads of snow and general grogginess of a city in the winter as i've said i've spent a winter in Winnipeg and after that i can never complain about the cold again. However i can complain about the piles of ugly grey slush mucky frozen water that i'de have to trudge through. I've never seen NY in the wintertime but i assume it's similar to Toronto which is always terrible. (Hopefully i'll be back in Okinawa before November)

I guess the opinion of someone who's only basing his thoughts on experiences with a similar city is trumpt by someone whos lived there but i still have problems imagining ANY city let alone New York looking good in the winter.
I still Voted New York btw.

I donno, I think the city of New York does a good job cleaning up the snowfall. I really don't mind it, anyways. I'm more interested in the winter wonderland, you know?

Although both of these cities pale in comparison to the epic beauty of Portland and the Pacific Northwest, I would choose NYC. More culture, better music, better climate, better city.

I'm a Jersian, and although New Yorkers make fun of us, it's still a great city. I've been to LA and it was not as glamorous as I thought. It was cool though. I guess I'm just going with New York as a local thing. If I had to live in one of them, I'd say LA.
