So I've got my Windows 7 Ultimate and I can't use XP mode because IVT isn't enabled. IIRC my processor supports it (Pentium Dual Core), but when I go to the BIOS I can't enable it. It's listed there, but it's grayed out and I can't get to it. I have the insydeH20 BIOS (some crazy proprietary thing I think).
I've contacted Toshiba support and they were useless.

Well since it's a pre built the BIOS options are going to be scarce. You're lucky if it lets you change the boot device order. You could try a BIOS flash, but it probably wouldn't even work and since it's a laptop i don't think you can reset it if it goes wrong. Basically, you're stuffed.

It might just be that your computer can't support it. I have the H20insyde BIOS also. I think that it is automatically there, as part of the BIOS kit, and may not have been taken out on your model.
And if your computer CAN support it, then I have no idea. Maybe a corrupt BIOS rootkit?

Yea no I'm not gonna bother with flashing it. I guess they just locked me out, huh.
That kinda sucks.

You could always file a lawsuit...
Well, that's too bad. But, life goes on...
... Or not...
