Bandos, because it has pretty good stats and looks great as well. You might want to clear up your spelling though

I don't wanna be mean to Lunar, or any other Bandos-wearers (Bandos Clones

), but I don't get Bandos. You pay for twice the amount of a Dragon Platebody, three times the amount of a Dragon Chain, all for 7 more Crush Defense and 1 more damage.
Anyway, I think Dragon is the most efficient, cost-wise at least.

Well - for melee -- it all depends on what you're looking for:
If you want cost effective armour that gives wicked defense, and you don't mind paying to repair it -- then go with a barrows set.
If you want style over substance, go with dragon or 3rd Age.
If you want to hit big, and have good defense, then go with Bandos.

If you mean melee armour, I suggest Dragon, if you replace the platebody with a dragon chain, it reduces the price a lot.
If range, then black d'leather or red d'leather.

Bandos may look cool, but I'll never forsake my beloved Torag's armour set

Since I am F2P, my best armor is obviously rune. And since you're P2P, that won't help you much. For my normal outfit, I like to wear a blue magic hat, green dragonhide torso and legs, safety gloves, rainbow boots, a rune longsword, a dragonfire shield, and an Explorer's Ring (3).

1st: LOL, 3rd age for melee? Why not Barrows? Like 100x cheaper but still effective
2nd: If red d'hide, why not black? It's only 15k for the set.

I tend to prefer barrows (Torag's, Ahrim's, and Karlis for magic defense), cheap yet effective. I can repair the armor Myself in My house, which only costs Me between 40k-50k (at 75%), which I can more than make up for when I __do slayer tasks_____.

I use void because it looks nice. I don't really train combat anymore.
