Iconis the wizard has set up a strange tent in a quiet field near Falador, not too far from his colleague the Makeover Mage, just through the members’ gate. He’s advertising there the wonders of his new picture-taking magic, which sends a still representation of any adventurer to a completely different plane of existence altogether: the RuneScape forums.

Expose yourself to the mischievous magic of Iconis’s impish business partner in the Photo Booth and you may find that the next post you make on the RuneScape forums will have a picture of your head and whatever was on it when the spell was cast. (Note that you can't pose for a photo while wearing or wielding borrowed items.)

There are only so many spells the poor imp can perform at any one time, though, so for the first few days, it might take several hours from you taking your picture to it being displayed on the forums. Iconis thanks you for your patience.

I like the idea, do you think it would be possible to change the Sal's hiscores to load a picture of you character instead of a custom image?

Pretty cool update. Me like. Maybe now I'll use the RSOF a little more...or maybe not...

Anyway, here's mine:

Just wish it took the body shot on a little large scale, but that would increase the bandwidth requirements exponentially, so I guess I'm content with only having a good head shot.

Yes, it is possible. It would be a pretty cool feature as well...

It's a good update if you use the RSOF frequently.

Just put your name in for "playername", but you must have taken a pic in rs.

Let's give free players the forums... but no avatar.... that's cool. Honestly I'm a little disappointed that they can't indulge us full access to the forums.

I don't mind not having an avatar there. It's such a trivial thing they might as well make it a benefit.

f2p already have forums, or at least, those with some exp do. In other words, the ones that deserve it, have it

I may be wrong, but I'd presume they're not being made F2P to start with because of server load - they want to make sure the servers can cope with all the members taking pictures before it gets rolled out to a much larger number of people. Moving the tent should be easy enough if wanted - one of the Halloween Quests got moved from Rimmington to Ardougne, so a similar thing should apply here... the position also makes it appear that the fence could be moved instead of the tent, which may be slightly easier.

A similar reasoning would go for the Display Name changing being P2P only at the moment, with the addition that members should have 'first priority' over new names.

How did you upload your photo on this forum? mine just shows me the link.

If you quote the person's post you will see there are image tags around the url, hence the image being shown.
