Chaosor tried restarting his computer in safe mode, in order to get rid of a virus. When that didn't work, he set his computer to start in safe mode automatically, or something like that. His computer wouldn't start up, so he put in the Xp disc, to basically reset his computer. It worked, and his computer is working, but now his internet is slower, and all the screens are bigger (the bar at the bottom of the screen, the internet pages, and everything. He wants to restore it to what it was before, so on all the sites, he doesnt have to scroll to the side, or worry about squinting to see the zoomed-out letters. He would also like to know what to do if this problem comes up again, without having to delete all his information.
Veni vidi vici
Right click on the desktop and click properties. Then go to one of the display settings, and choose his screens setting (the most common one is 1024X768).

He needs to download his drivers. Either insert the CD that came with his computer labeled "drivers" or go to the manufacturer's website > downloads > drivers > find his computer model > download them there.

Most important ones will be the motherboard drivers, CD/DVD drivers, and graphical drivers, along with any sound drivers he may need.

What would his manufacturer's website be? I know he uses a Windows xp computer

I'd assume if he downloaded the drivers for his motherboard, it would help because it's probably messing something up with the ethernet port right now.

IIRC XP doesn't do as good a job as Vista or 7 do when it comes to drivers through Windows Update.

Could be wrong, though.
