I have been listening to Kid Cudi for like past month now and I cant stop. This guy is a genius! His lyrics are really amazing as well. He also has unique beats in some of his music making it even more awesome!! He has 2 mixtapes and 1 album so far.

Here are some samples that I really like ( I still havent listened to all of his songs)

Kid Cudi: Up Up and Away

Kid Cudi vs Crookers Day 'n' Nite

Kid Cudi: Man on the moon
blad
Pursuit of Happiness with MGMT and Ratatat is good
Scrum
Kid Cudi sounds like Cow Cud

My Favorites include:

The Prayer
Dat New NEw
Rollin Remix
Embrace the Martian
Simple As
Soundtrack 2 My Life
Pursuit of Happiness
In My Dreams
I Make Her Say
My World
Maui Wowie
Solo Dolo
50 Ways to Make A Record
Cleveland is the Reason
Sky Might Fall
Down and Out
Dose of Dopeness
Everything else on his Man on the Moon CD

I also saw him in concert with B.o.B and Asher Roth. You could say I'm his number one fan.

He's the one that "sings" Day 'n' Nite, right? He's awful.
Topdog
The Prayer
Make Her Say
Up, Up, and Away
Dat New New (Viking Remix)
Simple As
Day 'N Nite (Crookers Remix)

Those are my favorite CuDi songs.

Gillis, no he's not. I hate it when people judge him solely on his Day 'N Nite single.

I loved it much more than the original. The upbeat tempo sort of won me over in the remix.

Well I've never gone out of my way to listen to any of his music and Day 'n' Nite was on the radio for a very long time, so I assumed that it is the general opinion of what his best is.

Make Her Say is alright.. really his best work is his slow mellow stuff. If I were to say so, The Prayer is his best with Man on the Moon

The Prayer is his best work, I'll agree. But for some reason I like more of his upbeat stuff. For example, Up, Up, and Away, as well as Simple As.

Oh, I am definitely not saying his upbeats are bad.. I love all his work basically. I also do love the song Simple As, but I would prefer Soundtrack 2 my Life. Hah, everything on that new CD is amazing. I'm still listening to it 1 month later non-stop.

Ok so I listened to Kid Cudi to get a real opinion him. Day 'n' Nite is actually pretty damn good!

I didn't like a few though. The ones I really didn't like were:

Alive
Cudi Zone
End of Day
Enter Galactic
Golf with Broskis
Heart of a Lion
Hyyerr
In My Dreams
Is There Any Love
Make Her Say
Man on the Moon
My World
Pursuit of Happiness
Ragin' in Aussie Town
Simple As...
Sky Might Fall
Solo Dolo
Soundtrack 2 My Life
T.G.I.F.
Up Up & Away
Po22
Pursuit of Happiness is my favorite song along with Man on the Moon and Cleveland.

Also, Gillis, Acoustic Ska is garbage.
Adam?
I give a thumbs up to Up, Up & Away, but not really feeling any of the other songs.

Cudi is different, which is understandable if people don't like him. He's different and he's ahead of his time.

Forgive my ignorance, but what do you mean when you say he has mixtapes?

I'd love to answer this.
Mixtapes are in a way kind of like albums. This is were the rappers sometimes team up with other artists and make songs (sometimes using the same beat as a famous song; in the rock world known as a cover but they have different lyrics). Mixtapes don't really get sold in stores. Check this website, its full of mixtapes from every big artist out there.

I've listened to his stuff it's slightly boring. I hear nothing unique at all. Yes people may call him talented but I see him as another run of the mill guy with just finger on the pulse of whats popular now.

That 'Day n Nite' song as the most annoying chorus I've ever heard.

Lupe is great. They kind of (atleast in some songs) have the same style. It's not all about punchlines, but how you go into detail in verses.
Two greats. I wish Lupe would do more stuff.

Day 'N' Nite barely shows his musical style. I don't like his music, but it's pretty surprising how different his usual music sounds from that.

I think I should probably explain my preferences... I'm a big fan of HARD beats. Like REALLY hard. Cudi's music is really chill and laid back, and it has a certain style of synth that I just don't really go for. Upon another listen of his music, I've found some like Cudi Zone and Soundtrack 2 My Life that I find entertaining, but in general I won't really be a big fan of this guy.

One thing I do appreciate however is his use of innovative lyricism and subjects OTHER than the stereotypical crud on the radio these days.

I've listened to his cd a lot, he's pretty good, but his song Man On The Moon seems dumb to me. At one part he talks about how he speaks kind words to woman, when in several of his songs he says things that could be very offensive to women. Maybe I'm too analytical.

My favorite songs of his is 50 Ways To Make A Record, Cleveland is the Reason and Day N' Nite.

I enjoy N.E.R.D. too I'm not a massive fan due to my dislike of Pharrell Williams but that isn't about the music.

I love his music. As a fan of techno and rap, Cudi kinda puts em both together for some of the perfect songs for me. Man on the Moon, Pursuit of Happiness, Day n Night being my faves.
Samurai Kenji
He sounds WAY to poppy for my tastes but he's better then most and he is actually rapping unlike Pop-stars like Lil Wayne who think that just because he says he's rap even though he's either singing in his 12 year old boy voice or talking over an irritating beat or.... Got off topic there.

Anyways i don't enjoy listening to his music but kudos to him for being a breathe of fresh-air compared to the crap the music industries been pumping out like Stephen King novels recently.
