I don't know if I will be a member of MechScape and I won't until I see it and play it for a while. However, if the beta is only open to Members of RS&FO, there won't be any distinction between F2P and Members the first couple of months.
That being said, I would assume membership for MechScape would be at least as much as for RuneScape. It might even be more expensive, seeing how much time and effort and money they'll have been putting into it when it comes out.

Mohorak has it right. There will be a beta for RuneScape and FunOrb members. Once the beta ends, I'm guessing membership for MechScape will be about $8 per month. On the other hand, since it's a new game, they might start with low prices just to get more people on faster, then raise it... I doubt it will ever be any lower than RuneScape's costs, though.
Yes, I will be a MechScape member. I'll have to be for my fansite, and I'm really looking forward to this game anyway. I'll probably quit my RuneScape membership, as I'm gradually losing interest in the game anyway, but I might not... I haven't quite decided on that part yet.

Well, if the game is browser based like runescape, probably between $8-$12 USD. If it is a standalone client, the price will probably signifigantly higher.

One of the very earliest things to be confirmed about this game was that it's going to be Java based and run in a browser like RuneScape, however the technology behind it will be significantly higher, meaning better graphics and the like.
