Has anyone seen this movie? It's supposed to be the scariest movie since the Blair Witch Project. The director completed the movie in his own house within like 7 days, so it's a pretty remarkable achievement.

Blair Witch wasn't that scary. The best thing about Blair Witch was only because it was something fresh and unique at the time.
Still I've heard nothing about this film.

Saw it twice. Even if you don't get scared easily, this movie does have an effect on different people. I think the reason it's so scary to some is because it's so real.
It's filmed like Cloverfield, through a camera the whole time, but it's not as bad as some people say Cloverfield was. This is filmed without the shaky camera thing and it's just so real, I have to admit.
No dumb Hollywood effects, it's really a movie you can get into and feel the emotions the only two actual characters feel. I definitely recommend it.

Blair Witch wasn't scary at all. In fact, Blair Witch was pretty bad. But that's another topic.
I really have no interest in seeing this if it's another one of those documentary style, handcam movies.

^ True in some ways. In the theater, the people's reactions just ruin it. I saw it twice and people just kept talking back to the screen/overreacting/fake screaming. Although the theater does provide a more real experience, especially if you see it alone.
At home, if it's just you and the TV, no lights, it can definitely scare you. If you can somehow get that movie theater thrill, that is.

I saw it on Halloween at about 1 AM. Normally, horror movies don't scare me AT ALL, but this had a pretty real effect to it, which is why it actually scared me.
Hah, for the first good and made me think. Half hour of trying to sleep I was thinking "Well... it IS Halloween..."
Also, what's up with the movie apparently having different endings depending on where you watched it?
Spoiler: Click to Toggle the Spoiler.
I personally heard of two endings, one where she goes upstairs after killing Micah, sitting down at the side of her bed and rocking back and fourth for a good two days ago, then ended up getting shot by police after she got up holding the knife, and the other ending which was her picking up Micah and throwing him at the camera and dialog came up saying she disappeared.
I personally think the first ending I saw was more awesome since it gave a sense of closure.

I give you points for worthwhile criticism and beautiful metaphor.
The gf-to-be only saw the "okay" ending and she didn't like it. The only thing she really liked, she's telling me now (lolfacebook, holy crap did you really think I was using the web with her in the room? No fudgin' way bro) is the part where one of her friends' dates scared her friend and had the whole row in front of them (other students from our school, it turned out) laughing. She also almost spilled her drink all over everyone.

That does sound funny.
But seriously though, the plot seemed to reachy at some points. I don't know about you all, but if my girlfriend/wife is 1)posessed and 2)standing over me for HOURS while I'm asleep, I'm not going to be in the same house with her until she gets all of that shizzle sorted out. Not wanting to "anger the demon" is not a good enough reason for me to endanger my life.

What they really should have done with the girl is the same as they did during The Exorcist; Tie her down so nothing can happen. I'd seriously do that after the point she got dragged out of the room.

He didn't run for "not angering" the demon. He was an ignorant cocky character and thought he could beat the entity on it's own.
