There was a woman in England called
Mary Whitehouse who had some very out-dated views on the broadcasting media and what she thought was doing more harm than good to the country...in a way she was correct, now we are living in a celebrity culture where people simply want to be famous for being famous rather than actaually doing anything. There is a woman called
Elizabeth Blackburn who has done far more than the Beckhams for humanity yet no one has ever heard of her because she simply isnt that photogenic...
Anyways, getting back to my point, Mary wanted much more stringent controls on what people can watch on the television and hear on the radio...and while good in a debate I have to say that would be the worst thing in the world, censorship is never good for a country and the good old days were not as good as people think they were.
I do however think there should be tighter controls on who actually gets hold of games, Second Life (which I go in) has servers that you have to register your passport/drivers licence number with to gain access, that is better than having a load of kids running around everywhere that they shouldn't be.
