What is your opinion of net neutrality? For those who don't know, net neutrality means your Internet service provider can't censor what you visit. So if, for example, all the service providers were owned by Democrats, they couldn't block access to Republican sites, and vice versa.

I believe that the telco companies deserve all control because they will be honorable and will serve the internet equally.

I support net neutrality. I don't believe in censorship, i believe in personal choice. If something interests me, i don't want any reason not to be able to pursue it.

You're very constructive.
But that's what I believe. I actually believe that a free market enterprise with little to no regulation can work honestly.

I don't think that's net neutrality. I think it means that certain providers can make deals with certain internet companies to make their pages load faster than their competitors. Television companies also make deals to have their videos load faster. Or at least that's the definition they gave on the news.

That would be pretty lame.
Net neutrality is cool.
Edit: That is a mockup btw...

Wait...
There's an ISP that makes you pay extra to access Wikipedia, the news, etc?

No. That's where ISPs are gearing towards.

Oh boy.
The internet is a funny thing that you can't trust it to anyone to run.
Government? Nuh-uh.
Why?
Welcome to China.Companies?
The above will happen.
Individuals?
Oh yeah, because we're all SOOO responsible! Not.

Net-Neutrality:
Network neutrality (also net neutrality, Internet neutrality) is a principle proposed for residential broadband networks and potentially for all networks. A neutral broadband network is one that is free of restrictions on content, sites, or platforms, on the kinds of equipment that may be attached, and on the modes of communication allowed, as well as one where communication is not unreasonably degraded by other communication streams
So i do not support companies creating tiered internet services. I support Neutral broadband networks.

First of all. Individual power (at least in the US) is essentially democratic power, which is essentially government.
Now, government, is the FCC. FCC regulated phone, tv, and any other form of communication made by man pretty effectively.

By individuals I meant something like everyone being their own ISP.
And control over the internet is too much to trust to the government. When Television, Radio and Print was censored, people circulated their own underground newspapers and radio. There's NOTHING to replace the internet.
