Is it possible for reminders to be put at the top of the forum before major events. The events forum is emptier and if large forum member organised events were advertised more the turn out would be better. I find it far easier to remeber things if there a reminder staring me in the face at the top of sals.

That's a decent idea. Maybe we could have a recommended event for people to go to, and advertise that.

Sleepy'd like that. As someone who doesn't check the events section regularly, she often misses parties and events for things that she'd really rather have attended.

I believe Neo/Jamster do this for MAJOR forum events such as the steel war and Christmas party, but as someone who did miss events when he was playing, I support this for the benefit of the regular players.

Allow forum members the opportunity to add events to the calendar, then provide event details or a link to the forum thread within. Encourage the use the calendar system with a notice above the Events board.

I think you should ened 30 psots and ahve to go through a mod, jsut to prevent spam. But yes the calendar does sound like a good idea.

To work smoothly, it would need at least some Moderation to prevent spam-bombing like Easl says, but it could be great. Perhaps DM+ could have moderation of the Calendar

I don't think there would be so much "spam" that it would need moderator approval, but if so, add approval when it becomes a problem. The calendar as it is now is a useless feature with only spam and automated entries.

It would be similar to Zybez/RHQ. They advertise official events largely on the main page.
