I need a new desktop.
Hopefully one that I can buy in Target, Walmart, Best-buy, BJ's But, doesn't have to be.
My only requirements are:
200gb or more memory
4gb or more RAM
Windows 7 Home Premium
Less than $400
Good Runescape-gaming PC

That one looks pretty good, and 2GB isn't that bad; that's about 1 and 1/2 GB more than I have currently.

Red, it comes with VISTA and all i need is the tower nothing else. Definition's PC looks nice, just if it had like another GB of RAM for maybe $20 more.

http://www.lenovo.com/us/en/windows7/Mine's better.

And that IS just the tower.

I would pick yours, but that's a lot of money for the tower, and the upgrade/

$20 under budget and meets all of your requirements?
I'd REALLY like to so you try and play any game on the other computer. In order for you to play games on any of them you'd have to upgrade the graphics.
So for the same amount of RAM Def's will be 340, compared to 380. That's 40 dollars more for an extra 100GB hard drive and a faster processor.
I mean you could/should add that graphics card to both of them if you want to play any games.

So definition's computer would be inefficient to play runescape?

Maybe could handle RSHD on lowest settings, but even then you'll probably get low frames in crowded areas.

ok, so can you find a computer with my specifications and under $400? All i would need is the Ram correct so If i had:
4gb RAM
I could play? Or would I need more?

You don't even need 4gb of RAM, really.
RAM isn't going to judge how well you can play the game. At 2.5Ghz processor, 4gb ram, integrated graphics, your graphics card is going to hold you back. At 2.5ghz, 2gb ram, new graphics card (I posted), your ram will hold you back (only if you're running heavy 3d games, and watching a movie the same time. I use my computer extensively with 2gb of RAM and my RAM never goes above 80% with windows 7). At 2.5ghz, 4gb ram, new graphics, the processor will be holding you back.
So really 2gb of RAM is fine and you can upgrade later if you'd like. But if you want to play any games properly, you'll need that card I posted.

So def's PC can handle RS SD perfectly? Because I don't play HD.

You could easily build one to that spec...

Congratulations, you realized that it was a stupid argument.
You pointed out the obvious, thus ruining the joke.
Like building a pc, or like linux being an actual competitor.
Oh and 895MB of RAM is enough to play RSHD on medium settings, which can be pretty sufficient for someone who plays SD.
Not everyone is a hardcore gamer.
That being said I think he should get
this.

I would highly suggest a computer from Newegg.com, they have great quality computers there. Cheap, custom made computers at an affordable price!

Linux is very much a competitor in the OS market, depending on what you actually use the PC for. If the maximum they expect from it is to run RSHD then it seems a waste to hog all those resources, and eat up a large part of the budget. Something like this would more than suffice:

The onboard motherboard graphics chip is more than capable, and it's easy enough to add another graphics card later on. Might change the DVD Burner to SATA.

If this:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Compaq+-+Presa...p;skuId=9542444 can handle RSSD and Other programs I'm perfectly leaning towards this one, based on price and the pros. And I can't build a PC.

Anybody can build a PC. It's like a jigsaw but there are only 10 pieces and you know where they all go.

Yea it can run standard detail. I don't know why you'd actually want to only run standard detail but ok.

HD just looks un-runescapish, I played SD style when I joined, and I always will.
