Hello, if you were looking to apply for the Salcast, this is what you should read.



Writers - These are the people who come up with the content the hosts talk about (not scripts).

Status: Closed - We have a lot of writers, and generally don't need many dedicated writers to begin with, so the position of writer is currently closed.



Hosts - These are the people that talk on the Salcast. Hosts must be able to record a voice clip of themselves, and have either Skype or Ventrillo.

Status: Open - we will almost always be looking for new hosts.


How to Apply:

1) Post a topic saying you wish to be a host.

We need your timezone to figure out hosting logistics.
Experience in hosting helps, but we're not professional - if you're good, you're in.
The voice clip should be a minute or so, talking about whatever you want. You should make it sound as good as possible, I don't care if you re-do it a hundred times before you submit it. Preferred upload sites are Rapidshare or Mediafire.

2) If your application is okay, we'll do a live interview with you. If you can hold a decent conversation about (whatever you want to talk about), you're in.



Quality Check - These people have a specific job, to go through and find all the flaws in each piece, and determine what needs to be fixed. Generally, these guys will spend around 5 hours a month - usually condensed closer to the actual deadline.

Status: Filled - We have a few of these at the moment, though chances are we may need more later. PM the Salcast Head if interested.



Editor - There tend to only be one or two of these people. They put together the cast, and fix up the pieces all nice and shiny for release.

Status: Filled - We currently do have a few people who can edit, but we'll accept you if you are on a godly level. PM the Salcast Head if you are interested.

A Final Note: You may remember we had many sections before - now it's just Forum Discussion, Runescape Discussion, and Miscellaneous. Miscellaneous is a conglomerate of the now defunct sections.
