I totally loved it, its very nicely layed out, easy to read and very clear. Looks like you put a lot of hard work into it and its all paid of very well!!

Suggestions for the future

1) Interview anyone who has been newly promoted on forums and how they feel etc.
2) Add some more images would be nice, esepcially of rs
3) Daily competitions where winners win 10k or something, and its like 1k to enter?
Gillis
why dont you sign up for the paper staff and suggest them on the paper forum?
Meen
Maybe he doesn't want to be staff pfft.gif

Good suggestions, we'll take this into account smile.gif
Gillis
meen, how long does my app. take to process? i was just wondering.

No this is why this is here mellow.gif so sals members can comment and suggest things that they liked what we did or want to see implemented in the next issue. I can see what you mean about more image text can get boring. So in some articles I will remeber that smile.gif. Also interviews has already been put into consideration wink.gif but idk about that thing with daily wins and stuff since its a month newspaper o.O
Prashanna
Thank you for your suggestions, this is why this section is helpful. tongue.gif

I like the competition idea... it's like a lottery. Maybe we should lower the price though. slanty.gif

Next issue, we will try to put more images. smile.gif

We will try to interview many different people, sometimes we might interview newly promoted members too. smile.gif

EDIT: Oh sorry, lotteries aren't allowed.
Steve
Lotteries are allowed on Sals because its so easy to scam using them. pfft.gif

Images is a good idea, for like current affairs we could have a picture of the event. And for RS things we could get pictures that go with it.. tongue.gif

Oh, I didn't know that.

Free entry competitions would good, once in a while. smile.gif
morfius
We could have journalists who go around runescape interviewing people.
Prashanna
We already have that planned for Issue 2. tongue.gif

If you would like to suggest something new, remember to make a new topic. tongue.gif

Yes, we will probably be interviewing a new Admin.... no more info from me tongue.gif

We might have some more images in the new newspaper smile.gif

The lottery is not allowed as Steve said, we could maybe have a lottery where you win a Sig or something tongue.gif

We're not going to, but this one has been one I've been wanting to do for awhile, besides the "admin" was aware of this about 3 months ago rolleyes.gif

Yes, all Newspaper Writers are expected to be able to read the minds of the editors. It was on the application form tongue.gif

As Theta said, don't interview an Admin. tongue.gif Even if you planned it, just tell him that we are trying to get a variety with interviews. tongue.gif

I have some interview ideas. ohmy.gif biggrin.gif
Steve
Honestly Id rather read about normal forum members then admins. Not forum members who have like 1 post a day, but members who are pretty active but maybe arent very well known. Or are well known.. rolleyes.gif tongue.gif I guess interviewing this *mysterious* admin (tongue.gif) could be okay, as long as the other interviews arent mods/admins. slanty.gif Or maybe remove this interview to issue 3?

Lottery winning a sig.. Good concept, but you can get a really good sig from Horizon Designs for free. ohmy.gif

An interview with an Admin in Issue 3 is still bad. tongue.gif If you have already interviewed this Admin, then we could keep it for later, maybe (hopefully) Issue 5? tongue.gif

If you didn't interview him, then please cancel it. smile.gif

EDIT: I agree totally with the Signature Winning. tongue.gif
Steve
Check the newspaper forum Prash (gfx section, Cook's topic). Ive suggested something for the sig idea...

Okay, maybe we can do it later. I'll think of a good forumer to interview smile.gif

Maybe it could be called 15 mins of fame or something tongue.gif

And I'm glad you like my Sig idea biggrin.gif
