The Graphics Team of the Newspaper wanted me to post this poll.

Please choose a choice, and if you choose Yes for the Thrid QUestion, please explain below.

Thank you Prash. Of course I vote undecided because I want you're opinions, and Steve and I will probably be making them so you get the point.

You need a darker layout, I don't like looking at a 80% white screen, not good for my eyes.

If you say yes to "Other", say WHAT you want so we know.

Also like Josizzle did, give suggetions for the layout and banner. So like color themes, light/dark, styles, etc. We will do our best to accomdate all your requests.

The layout is fine for me.
As for the banner, I am undecided.
Third, graphically... Im sure some fellas would like a darker "skin". Others however prefer lighter skins so meh... theres gotta be a suitable compromise.

For the Layout, I'm undecided as I don't know if a new one would look better.

For the Banner, I'm fine with it as it is. But maybe we could do better

If the complaint with the layout is that its too light, I can make it so you choose between light and dark layouts. I could even make it many colors. Basically it would be set up the same way as RHQ. I dont know how to load a .css file to the page, but Im sure Sal (or someone else) could tell me. Ive got the skills to edit the CSS to be other colors (I hope ). Ill have to learn how to make it so it sets a cookie I guess. Or maybe two different URLs (other one would be newspaper.salmoneus.net/dark or something)

So Im thinking maybe have the one we've got now, and then another one that black and dark blue? Text could be a light blue color. Or would you prefer a different color? Im going to keep the layout the same (even though Im pretty sure I know how to change it ), just colors will change.


Looks like everybody wants a new banner. Cook, you work on that. If we do multiple layouts, maybe make one banner for each?

Personally I think everything is great .

Being able to choose between light and dark colours does sound Interesting, and maybe the banner could be a bit more relevant to Sal's and/or RuneScape, although as I said, everything's fine at the moment.

Like the Navigation Buttons on the side, maybe they could be animated or do something

By adding in any animations a page can go from looking awesome to being complete crap. But, Ill see what I can do.

EDIT: Sal, if you see this, do you know how to make it so you can change to different CSS sheets and have it set a cookie so it remembers which you chose to use? If you do then we could have multiple skins for people to choose from...

I was thinking today that making a layout that looked like a real newspaper could look cool. It would be done completely in the CSS so it would be like a seperate skin. If you guys like the idea, Ill see what I can do with it. If not, I wont bother. I would like to incorperate the darker skin into the newspaper using the script Stobbo provided. That would be really cool.

So you could make a different Layout, that could be selected like a skin?

I personally dont like the graphics they look to free-ish.

I don't like the current layout, I think it should be more Runescape-like and more newspaper-like. Also a new banner to go with the new layout.

It's alright..Needs a bit of banner work and background though..

I voted yes for all of them.. the layout is too bright, it needs to be darker.

For the last question, does that mean more pics. The paper is good in the text except from a lil' spelling typos, but there needs more ingame pics

I'd like it if it was basically the same as the regular salmoneus.net/runescape.

Makes little sense to have an amazing layout for something that gets an update every 3-4 months.

No, I don't want the same layout as the official Sal's website. I want a layout change on the website, but something that it is still nice on the eyes, not like RuneHQ.

You need to add a little more flash and pizzaz to your layout. I mean dark blue, and white just doesn't cut it. You can at least make it like a real newspaper.
