First of all I'd like to say gratz on your second issue.
Only found one mistake: iTush's new interface report. One of the images is incorrect as when the interface was released it was changed soon after.

Then there's the layout, I guess it's alright, very standard, nothing that really shows it's a newspaper apart from the title and the image of the newspapers. If I were to stumble upon it, I would think it was just a blog.

Next, there's the Jokes and Riddles. In which one writer sources http://www.mindtrapgames.com/ at the end of their piece. Aren't the writers skilled enough to publish original ones?

Also, in the Interviews section, I found the interviews boring? Apart from the one with Dani.
Let me use an example.

I've never seen interviews in which interviewers ask such blunt questions.
Wouldn't you prefer to read something like, 'Why have you chosen to become a skill pure?' and 'Why do you enjoy being a level 3 so much?'.

Lastly, I have this:

Taken from the Runescape Stock Market article. Which talks about the prices of Pumpkins at Halloween. What use is this info when Halloween is long gone now? If you're going to provide date specific information make sure that when the newspaper is published that it can still be used.

Otherwise, nice issue, sure it's only the second one but there's still improvements to me made.

Hmmm, i doubt that mindtrap games invented that "riddle" themselves, as there is no patents on riddles, there is not much you can do about it.

I was under the impression that the newspaper had that simple layout, so that you would not spend time admiring it, but actualy reading the content. Which is the most important part, in my opinion anyway.

We are trying to get a new layout, hopefully for issue 3. We might have had one for issue 2, but we couldn't decide on what it should look like, and by the time something was made Prash was already putting stuff in the template so we couldn't change it.

I do agree, though. We need our own custom layout for the paper. As long as Prash is fine with it, I'll make a topic asking for suggestions as to what you think the layout should look like.


I agree with the riddles thing, we should write our own. Also, we should have some RS related ones (this paper is based on an RS forum, no?).


Personally, I find just about all interviews boring, unless there is comedy in it (like Dani's). Even if its one with Sal who I think most people would find interesting, other than finding out where he lives ( ) I wouldn't read much of it. I'm not saying remove the interviews, but if people are like me ( ) then we should make the interviews more entertaining and funny. Yeah, ask why they're a skill pure. Then ask them dumb questions that have nothing to do with anything, like the one with Dani.

I do understand what your saying about interviews being boring but in this your basically saying that it would be better if the questions where worded differently? i guess i can take that as constructive criticism so ill take that into consideration If i do that again(really just a revised article done quite a few months ago with one skill pure) but that really wouldn't matter if interviews are boring.

the pumpkin part is very true. i finished reading the whole newspaper and i thought the first thing and was about to post the same exact thing!
