Hey guys,

Just a quick question if you guys wouldn’t mind answering, I’m going to turn level 55 in magic soon and wanted to know which item in the F2P world would be the best to high alch with the maximum amount of profit possible. I also wanted to say that money is not an issue so the item can cost as much as possible as long as it gives me a profit.

Thanks guys.

If you want as much cash as possible at a fast rate I would say steel plates.

There is no item in the f2p world that you can buy and still alch for a profit.
Mining your own iron/coal and making steel plates is your best bet.

Thanks, but do you know how much I could get if I High Alch it? Or how I can know the amount given when I High Alch a specific item?

First alch all the junk you don't need. Then alch Steel Platebodies.

If rune meds still cost under 11k, alch those.  They're a bit harder to buy, but they alch for a little over 11.5k, so any that you get for under 11.2k (alch price - nat price) would be a profit.

Though I'm not 100% certain what they cost now, and I'm not near the grand exchange, so I couldn't really go check for you.  But if they are under that, try putting up a few offers for them.

I don't have any junk and if I did I would of sold it, as I my priority was to make money off high alching and not get the xp.

At the moment a nature rune costs 290gp and a Rune Med Helm costs 11,329gp and it alchs for 11,520gp. So, it's an overall loss of 99gp, damn.

Oh well, I might as still get my magic to level 55, hopefully I'll find something profitable one day :aware: .

Not really as I already knew it, it's just there are other ways of making money through smithing, then doing the whole mining and smithing route just for alching.

You can also alch jewelery, it gives pretty good money and if you mine the gold ores, smith them and get your own gems from randoms you might get some profit. In members you can mine the gemrocks in Shilo Village for gems and have access to more gold ores rocks.
Sig doesn't look good anymore...

:aware:
I always thought steel plates were 1200 even.

anyway

If you mine your iron ores, and buy coal and nats to make steel plates you'll still make profit, that's how I made money when I was F2P
