I have to tell you, I am fed up with the amount of people who complain. "0h n03s reverants r 2 powerfuuul loolololololo i di lololololol jgexa r all n0000bs lolololbasjgfdgfgfdjfgrhjgf!!!!!!!111!!"

Right, now that I've hammered the keyboard and vented my frustration a bit, I can now tell you how to escape a Revenant.

Protect from Mage and RUN.

It's that simple!
Revenants don't attack with the attack style you're praying against. Their Magic attack is devastating. I know for a fact that a Revenant Werewolf can hit up to 20 with it's Magic attack. So, if you Protect from Mage and run, it can only attack you with it's much weaker Range attack. It has a chance of freezing you, but that doesn't last very long.

You know when a Revenant's attacking you, as a sound like somebody casting an Ancient Magicks spell on you. If you hear that sound, switch to Protect from Mage FIRST and then run away. Make sure you always have Sound Effects ON while in the Wilderness. If for some reason your sound isn't working, and you HAVE to go into the Wilderness, remember the two attacks Revenant's do.

Mage - Big Ball.
Range - Long Spike.

Obviously, they only melee you when they're close to you. It's futile to fight a Revenant on your own. It heals itself, and if you're in a Member's world, it poisons you badly. If you're in a group, you have a small chance of taking it down, but it'll be hard. If you want to stay away from Revenants, there's a few places you'll find them.

Stay away from those areas, unless you have to.

They're basically wandering everywhere around the Member's area of the Wilderness, mainly around the Mage Arena area.

I actaully beat a revenant, I used the crumble the undead a bunch and slaughtered him. Revenants are undead too, which I don't think the average pker was.

There range attack freezes, there mage attack doesn't. Also, they are evenly dispersed in the Wildy. People only think they inhabit those areas because thats where most people go.

I can give a testament to the fishing area, I've tried multiple times to fish there, but at best, a rev come along at about half inventory. We aren't just making these up  :aware:

I wander randomly around the Wilderness and I see them mostly there. I don't know what Zachorayi's trying to say, but I think he means that Revenants follow people who go to the Mage Arena etc. and then just stay there, that's why Revenants group around there.

The Range attack freezes, the Mage attack teleblocks. Which one is more deadly? With the freeze, you can just run away after you're unfrozen. With the Teleblock, you have to run all the way to level where a Revenant is unable to attack you, as you can't teleport at 20 Wilderness.

It was either Revenants or Spiritual Mages/Rangers/Warriors, or both that Jagex confirmed weren't undead, so Crumble Undead and a Salve Amulet don't work on them.

A 20? that's nothing. I've had that revenant knight get me with multiple 30's unfortunatly. That hobgoblin mine just doesn't seem quite as effective as it used to....A LOT of revs wander there. :aware:

That's odd.. I've been to the Demonic Ruins, the area on the side of CW, and the dark warrior's fortress in the last couple of days and haven't seen a revenant near any of them...

I think it's just easier to wear D'hide and pray range :aware:

D'hide should splash the tb, but the main thing is: RANGE PRAY! Range is the one that freezes you >.>

Revenants aren't in any one place, they are everywhere. They are really easy to escape too, just run. Not that hard, I think most people knew that :aware:.

@ the guy who said while range "only" freezes you and mage tele blocks you, you contradict yourself, you said range only freezes you and you can keep running but with tele block you gotta run to a level that it cant attack you cuz you can't tele after 20 wildy.

so, if i get frozen in 52 wildy im ok but if i get teleblocked im not?

Yes, and I have heard that near Clan Wars, people usually get trashed pretty badly, especially near the Green Drags...

Near Bounty Hunter and FoG, it is safe, you won't be attacked there (unless you kite one, which you shouldn't). Those are some of the few places where you won't be attacked. Keep that in mind.  :)

You could expand on this guide and submit it to Sal's site.

I'd add some Revenant-killing tips, strength of some of their spells, lists of them and particular strengths or weaknesses etc...

Well, Revs were created to replace real players in the wilderness, where if you used a protection prayer it'd only block 40% of the damage.
