The title says all, but what do you think is the best summoning creature/pet to date.
Do you think that pets should be able to do more?  (like the cat can be sold for deaths)

IMO the best summoning monster is the spirit wolf simply because you can keep other monsters away if necessary.

Pack Yak as it can bank items for you or Pony as it heals. Best pet I'm not quite sure.

Terrorbird for items/run restore, and bunyip for healing.

That's if you have low summoning.

  I like the familiars that help me with skills and forage for me- beaver to boost my WC & give me an extras space (beaver can make bows, so I don't have to carry a knife); magpie to boost thieving and give me jewelry to enchant and sell; pyrelord to burn logs; and so forth.

The pets.... yeah, some of them at least ought to be able to do more. Terriers and Greyounds ought to be able to hunt rats, rabbits, and so forth - I have a Jack Russell Terrier/Zwergpinscher cross in real life who's a WAY better mouser & ratter than my cats!  
Also, it's totally stupid to have to feed your pet(s) several times an hour - even baby kittens and puppies only have to eat 3-4 times a day, and adult dogs only need feeding twice a day.

best familars are pak yak (30 slots and banking items) or unicorn (scrolls heals 15 if u got 99 hp)

best pet is monkeys...who doesnt want a monkey!

I want to see your dog do that lol.  And it would be cool to sell a dog on rs for 200 deaths. ^.^

Pack yaks sound awesome, though I've never tried one before (they require such a high level ). From the ones I can currently use, my favorite is the war tortoise because it can hold 18 inventory slots, which is quite useful for holding food during slayer. I adore the saradomin, zamorak, and guthix birds that come from those multi-colored eggs.

No best familiar for Summoning. There's a 'best' one for each purpose. As for pets however, I'd say without a doubt that's the Chameleon is the nicest. It actually changes colours everywhere, and I mean everywhere, you go. White in snow scenarios, yellow with white stripes in the GE, pale green in Canifis, black with orange fins in TzHaar, blue in Zanaris, and the list goes on. A pet that'll look awesome no matter where you go.

All the bobs( beast of burdens) are very useful. the bull ant  and terrorbird hold 9 and 12 items respectively and can restore run energy. the pak yak is also notable in that addition to holding a whopping 30! items it can send items straight to the bank.
The bunyip and unicorn are noteworthy for the continuous healing they provide.
The hunter cats all provide +5 boost to summoning in addition to transporting you to the hunting areas.
But my number one favorite familiar is the spirit spider. it only needs 10 summon and the eggs its scrolls provide are a Great money maker.

In terms of combat I've found the Spirit Dagannoth very useful, it hits pretty often and rather hard (up to 16 i believe).
I use terrorbird in non-combat a lot just for general activities.

Best summoning creature: The unicorn for healing, although the terrorbird is helpful too.
Best pet: The kitty. So adorable

thers no best pet for summoing as they all don't do a single thing besides chip away at your food every now and then

the best familair is the bunyip cause it speeds up healing

I love the cat, I've bred 6 of them so far while I've been skilling, will be trading them all in for deaths at 99 fishing
