As some of you have seen, I've come back to Runescape!

I've decided to get 99 magic and I need some help. I need to know the fastest and most cost-efficient way to get the level. I am currently 81 magic and I have 35 mil (I don't wish to spend all of it on magic).

If you could offer some advice, I'd appreciate it very much.

when going for speed a good way is using mass damage spells (pick one from the ancient spellbook and using it on mummies in the chaos tunnels, they have at least some drops (sceptres) and swarm you quite well
they are in the room next to the gargoyles (monastary entrance) on the way to the dusties and black demons

aside from that high alching is ofc good for not losing a lot of money but it's dead boring

Stunning in Soul Wars with Stealing Creation armour is the best experience, I've heard.
At least it's relatively cheap
EDIT: You need a clan to do Soul Wars and get great experience.

I haven't done high alch in a while. I used to do Yew Longs; is there something better? or is that still the way to go?

Alching in pvp is almost always no loss. Pick a remote location nobody goes to and alch.

To add on to Doomsicle, try alching in Mudskipper point.
Nice drop potential, and when you get from 85-87-90 Magic, ask to 26K with someone
A long, but cheap way, used more in f2p then p2p is cursing.

Stringing amulets and humidify are good alternatives to alching, and if you alch, do it in a pvp world at the ge, you can watch fights and it's not boring at all! I don't know about humidify, but stringing amulets is 4gp/xp, which would take around 40m for 99 mage, but very fast. So either alch or humidify.

Thanks for the tip guys; I'm using Hawk's and Lilshu's (fantastic guide) high alch guide to see the value of each summoning pouch and comparing it to the G.E. Like Egghe said, there are a few where I won't lose any money at all, so I think I'll go for that option at this stage.

IMO, Superheating is best. If you have 70+ Smithing, you can buy a lot of supplies and superheat adamantite bars. You'll gain profit, plus it provides good Smithing experience as well.

Don't you get more xp for high alch than you do for superheat though?

I considered green dragon hide bodies, but I'd make more profit using pouches when I did the calculations.

Hey I'm considering 99 Magic as well, consider these options:
Crumble undead is around 40k an hour, at spectral warriros there is no loss
Super heating is faster than alching, the spell is cast twice as fast but it requires far more clicking
Ice Blitzing at rock crabs is 100k an hour, bu expensive

If ur fanna high alch just buy like a billion tradibg sticks they are stackable anfcheap (like 4 gp)

High alching is an awful method to train magic I strongly suggest using other methods if they are available to you.
