this is choking ivy found outside the church in ardougne (and maybe elsewhere)

when you cut it you don't receive anything except experience
fortunately you get a lot of exp. 333 per ivy and it comes in faster than yews.

you need lvl 68 to cut it

at lvl 74 i got around ~11k exp in 10 mins. 66k/hr
with sc axes you could possibly get 132k/hr


if this is old news or in the wrong place it can be deleted or moved.

ahh, thats what i figured but i didn't see it when i read it originally.
guess i should read things closer...

Yep, its members only. It would be a bit unblancing for non-members for its exp rate.

But, it came with the woodcutting update, and I heard it was pretty awesome exp, might try with my WC brawlers.

If that experience per hour is accurate, it's slower than the sawmill. It gives bird nests every now and then, but it's also affected by the number of participants. Neither are true at the sawmill and I can get more than 72k per hour there.

It's for low level's, and it isn't half bad truly. I mean you never have to bank or anything so... Surely when they get 80 woodcutting we will go there but that some EXP away.

I don't know why everyone calls it choking ivy, I see it on the RS forums too.

Ohhh, nevermind. Didn't know choking ivy was the actual name, silly me.

When you examine it it says it's choking ivy. Choking is the adjective, chopping is the verb. 'Choking ivy' is the type of ivy it is, 'Chopping ivy' is an action you take.

for now atleast

i wc'ed for 30mins, got around 50k exp
got 3 nests, (emerald ring, spirt seed, and yew seed)
not bad imo..

Yeah it's great exp, I'm getting 665 experience per cut with the stealing creation hatchet.

And now, I expect to see about a zillion wc skillcapes, and about a half-zillion using autoclickers(not macros, but a program that clicks in one place repeatedly).  They need to a: give it a loooooong respawn time, B: severely reduce the amount of xp it gives(I'm talking 1xp per cut!) or C: make it so that it clogs up your inventory and you have to bank.

I went and chopped it for some giggles and after about 30 minutes I was bored out of my freaking mind. At least at teaks I could interact with the game by dropping some logs. =/

Well, I was trolling the forums during the weekend I cut ivy, as well as played around with this, so I didn't mind not being engrossed in the game.

well u r kinda right it is new (september,20,2009) and 2 let u know its on the eastern side of varrock palace and the north side of falador     ummmm what else is there....... o ya theres this sawmill training at the saw mill i think its suckish xp but if ur a fast clicker then itll be pretty fast 4 u other ppl (add me on runescape if u ever need help my name is : bakugan264)

You get nests so it is possible to make money out of it, I think you fail at WC because at 74 I get about 30K XP in 10 mins so thats 300K tops per hour!
