Games should never get graphical updates!

They should lag way behind other games in terms of graphics!
Ikr??? We should demand JaGeX to bring back RSC graphics, and if they don't we riot!! Who's with me??

Seriously now, rioting because of a graphical update is just retarded.

I'm all for graphic updates but I don't really like what they did to Edgeville. I went to check it out and it seems really gloomy and dark. I personally preferred the nice little town right next to hell look. Not sure if they trying to get that look but I thought it was fine.

RSC graphics would be awesome. :(

I think I'm at the G.E. right now, so I might log in and check it out.

Why do Jagex always half-do their graphical updates?  Every single one, they leave out at least one little thing.  It's annoying, it's incompetent, and it shouldn't be the case.  They need to playtest their graphical updates-that way they can finally get them so they're complete on release!

Examples:

1. Draynor Village trees.
2. Grand Exchange clerks.
3. Oziach's house.
4. Barbarian village's Eastern tower (now done).
5. The stronghold of player safety/the one with the jail and the shawshank reference. Between two graphically updated areas, escaped both!
6. Edgeville's bank clerks.
7. The grand tree.
8. Edgeville's house interiors.
9. Old Fremmenik models for the people there.
10. Fairy shopkeeper (now fixed).

Quote

Forget the power of technology and science, for so much has been forgotten, never to be re-learned. Forget the promise of progress and understanding, for in the grim dark future there is only war. There is no peace amongst the stars, only an eternity of carnage and slaughter, and the laughter of thirsting gods.

It was a decent update. I hope the quest is next week. Even though I can't do it yet i'm really interested to see how the story plays out. And then I'm hoping that ROTM comes out in September :(.

Lol because of course Jagex can release content every single week.
Not a bad update, but, Audio I doubt I'll be listening too, I prefer listening to my own music.

I actually really appreciate these updates. In between bouts of content, Jagex is taking time to "fine-tune" the RuneScape universe. New content is good, but I want it to look and sound good as well.

I honestly think they could.
Some of sounds imo sound dodgy, but i guess I could get used to it

It's not just that, I've noticed a lot of bugs spewing up, they promised they would fix this prayer glitch thing yesterday, but they still havent.

I really like the graphics, because the reason I started playing was for the medieval aspect of it. I've got an imaginative mind and any location I feel that I could roleplay in I like. I didn't like how plain the old GE was and Edgeville was nice and calm, but just missed the atmosphere.

Also, if you people dislike some of the content Jagex produce, what makes you think you'd like it more if they were rushed to produce it weekly? They have to spend some time and work on fixing places instead of adding to places.

Current RuneScape Goals:

94/99 Farming,
Quest Cape,
30M+ GP.

I miss my old RS friends. Like Nathan. Come back, Nathan! <3

Imo, they're overdid those graphical updates. Way too much detail in everything. It actually makes it more modern than medieval.

That's just my opinion. ^^

This x10000

Jagex is never complete with their updates, they never care about the small things. They would rather have 100000 bots running around then tackle all the small things.

Because back then in the medieval times everything was blurry and low definition. No details at all.

Graphical updates are not "Fixes", they are improvements to the actual game.

I hate when people use that quote out of context. :(

OT: G.E looks a lot cleaner and simpler, and I should have to check out Edgeville soon! Although from hearing about it people say it's dark and gloomy, I thought Edgeville was a place of peace and serenity?

This is why Jagex need to do more graphical updates.  It's a scary place to live and it's right on the edge of the wilderness.  Varrock has a huge wall.  Edgeville has  a few brown rocks to protect it.

I don't think Edgeville looks gloomy. It looks more like I always imagined it should. Like its the last stop before hell.

Oh, but the graphical updates do help a bit, normally, content-wise.  I mean, Draynor added a new onion patch for dyes, Edgeville got that fence (with the hole in the back) removed from the house with the range and sink, and the GE got a water source.  None of these were broken before, but they do help now.

I do rather miss the happy draynor and edgeville, but I gotta admit they look pretty awesome.
The sounds... yeah I can get used to those I guess. :(
