High-level herbalists can now create prayer renewal potions. These concoctions restore a sizeable sum of prayer points over the course of five minutes; great for when your prayer points are looking low, but there’s not an altar in sight.

Of course, you’ll still have your super prayer potions for when you need an instant boost in the heat of battle, but the prayer renewal potion restores roughly 25% more prayer points than the super prayer potion does and is tradable, making it a cost-effective, widely obtainable way to cater for your prayer needs in the field.

Brewing a prayer renewal potion requires the following:

  • Level 94 Herblore
  • A fellstalk herb, which can be grown by level 91 farmers.
  • A morchella mushroom, which can be grown by level 74 farmers.
The seeds and spores for fellstalk herbs and morchella mushrooms can be obtained from evil trees; Miscellania kingdom management; traded with other players; or can be found as drops from werewolves, mutated zygomites, ogre chieftains and high-level Slayer targets, among others.

Mod Mark

In other news...

  • We’ve also completed some technical changes to the Prayer skill, with the most prominent being to prayer points, multiplying your displayed total by 10 to match the format used by life points. While the Prayer tweaking will have no direct impact upon gameplay, it allows us to release more interesting and varied Prayer updates in the future, including the prayer potion we have released today! As an example of future updates, the upcoming Penance aura will restore prayer points based on damage taken, which would have been very difficult to implement if prayer and life points had still been displayed in different formats.
  • For those who use the RuneScape game bar, we’ve added an array of options through which it can be customised. Click here for further details.

Fuuu prayer points x10. Now it'll take alot of time to get used to. :( I don't actually get why a better potion than Super Prayer Potion is tradeable. Jagex's theory sucks >.>

I really like the new pray points system. Helps to keep track of how fast it is draining. The new potion is meh. It'll skyrocket in price then crash probs.

Well the potion is tradeable so I don't see the point except ofcourse if you want extremes/overloads.

Is prayer-flashing nerfed because of the x10 update?

Nope.

Edit: well actually, if you're fast enough it's the same. If not, it's nerfed. :(

I would expect so yeah :(

it was more or less nerfed already tho, or at least it never worked when I tried it for soulsplit when slayering

edit: that is as in flashing prayer without losing any prayer points
short bursts of prayer won't be affected

You can actually flash just the way you did if you're fast enough.

From patch notes:

Quote

Quests & Tasks
The Meiyerditch Agility shortcut near the initial sighting of Vanescula has had the XP reduced to 5xp, in-line with the other obstacles in the area.

So damn sad.

I doubt that, simply due to the rate the prayer points will drain at.

I've been eying extremes for a while now, as well as assisting ability. This may be the final push I need to go ahead and do it. I'd end up training it through Farming, giving me a nice cash flow and some other XP as well

definitely gonna go get Remote Farming from Livid Farm soon. It may seem like a filler update but if they linked such high level content to a wider reaching update/Quest etc then no doubt people would complain anyway. And there's the big Quest coming out this month, so that should more than make up for it.

I still call it HP  :( but yes, there is always the fear with Jagex that they'll do something ridiculous. I'm just glad they didn't link Super Prayer Pots to this new Pot, the Super Prayers are expensive enough as it is..

If the seeds are tradeable, watch them get farmed to death by bots in about 3 days. :D
Well, ROTM in 2 weeks. :(

Don't focus on numbers now but:

Assume 1 swig of Super prayer restore 100 prayer points in 1 turn. 1 swig of the Prayer Renewal potion restores 125 prayer points over 5 minutes.

Will the Renewal potion then stack with itself? As in. If you drink a second swig after 1 minute, will you just have 5 minutes (which is the max) of 125 points total, or will you have 4 minutes with double effect and another minute with the ordinary rate?

It seems mighty horrible if it's a standard effect for 5 minutes like an antifire potion. A free super prayer potion every 20 minutes doesn't look jawdropping, really. :(
