Rune Chat

Well, I decided that it may be helpful to have Rune Chat here on the Realm. So,
I've added a chat applet so that everyone can talk and stuff. I may even be on
from time to time. Since it's fairly new I may put up a feedback form so that
I know how things are going.

Ranging Guide & Grab-bag of Updates

The new Ranging Guide is now finished, packed with tons of info about the skill,
and even a step-by-step tutorial to get started on it is included! And of course,
there's lots of pictures to go along with all that info too.
As if that guide weren't enough, I've also added a few words to the Rune Dictionary,
as well as a couple new colors that were recently brought back to RuneScape (dark
red, for 1) after some time, apparently. There's also been a huge renovation
in the Tips & Tricks page, and you can now submit your own tips! And if I'm
missing any colors, you can add them to the list as well, and I will give you
credit for them.
I also fixed a map in the Mining guide that linked to the wrong 1. Oh, and I've
also fixed the screenshots to make pop-ups of the larger pic, rather than load
a completely different page. Finally, just a few small fixes and tweaks to several
of the other skill guides.

Well first of all, I've changed the home page a little bit. I took out the RuneScape
animation that I made, seeing that there wasn't any real point to it since there's
the top banner on every page neways. I've also added some cool text to a few
of the important parts of this page like news and info. There's even a new Halloween
animation that I made myself! I also wanted to give credit to the maker of the
countdown timer that I've put on the site. Thanks a lot to Dynamic Drive!!
As for the overhauls, I've decided to drop the Scape Forum, as it is hardly even
used, except for 4 people.

Just some minor updates for today. I fixed some stuff in a few of the guides,
just some small completely unnoticeable stuff... Well anyways, I also finally
finished work on a RS2 (a.k.a. RuneScape 2, a.k.a. the "Big Update," a.k.a.
3D graphics, a.k.a. "The New Engine") countdown timer, which you can
see above. Of course, now because of the Halloween thing (which most people including
me) wanted to have a drop like past holidays, it's probably going to be off by
maybe a day... and obviously I have no idea exactly what time it will be released.
But it should still be close to accurate.

Well firstly, I just finished the first poll for this website today. I thought
that it would be interesting to see what everyone thinks of this site, and I
also wanted to put something cool up. And also, as you probably saw, I added
a new animation next to the poll. It's kinda cool and I made it myself.

I just finished a new skill guide on Fletching. It's packed with lots of info
about the skill, and what to do. And as for those people who like pictures...
well there's a lot of those in there too! I also added requirements for using
the weapons and armor to the fighting guide, as those are important too. Not
too shabby for a day's work!

Yep, the brand-new version of Sal's Realm of RuneScape is up! Of course, it looks
a whole lot different than the old one, but remember, it's still the same site
that was here a year ago. All the guides are looking great, and I have even gotten
2 new ones up: a Fatigue Guide and a Fighting Guide. Hopefully I will be able
to get another up soon as well! Well that's about all, so go check out the rest
of the site!

Well I just have some more news about the new site. Its going pretty good, and
I have all of the current guides up! the only problem, and now becoming a delay
is the fact that I wanted to use frames with the site... well it seemed all good
at first but now I decided that I don't want to add the complication of frames
(plus the other disadvantages). So, I'm going back to the regular-style. all
I need to do now is get a whole new navigation system up which shouldn't take
long. I also want to try and get some other guides up like fighting (at the least)
for newer players.
On a less 'nice' note, I was forced to remove two links from the page. one was
a re-direction to an *explicit* page... another was a dead link. Because of the
fact that I don't check the links all the time, this happened, and I've decided
to completely remove the links page in the new version. sorry for the inconvenience
to anyone who used the links; to the who submitted their links (the real ones).
And I would like to apologize to anyone who clicked on the inappropriate link:
I had no idea that it was there.

Well, i just wanted to say that the new site is going very good, and should be
ready sometime very soon. i just have 2 more guides to finish... and then i have
to make sure everything is working good. Then ill release the new version of
the site! I know that its been a month since i started working on it... and since
then there havent been any updates... but its kinda important to do this with
the site. So far ive gotten all of the existing guides up except for fishing
and cooking, and i still have herblaw and thieving to work on. But im sure that
the site is going to be a lot better, just from the part that i have done. Be
patient, it will be ready quite soon.

Hey! I just wanted to let everyone know that im alive and am still hard at work
on rennovating the site. So far I have 4 guides up as well as most of the other
pages (dictionary, anti scamming guide, yadayada). I also wanted to say that
tomorrow is this website's b-day and itll be a year old. Yes, an entire year
old. A year of updates, setbacks and fun. Yay! Woooohoooo. Well im hoping to
get the new site opened up soon. I wanted to open it up for tomorrow since thats
the birthday thing but its not quite ready as i still have several guides to
finish, along with some other things.
If anyone is wondering why its taking so long to finish (i announced it
on... August 26th i think?) its becasue i have to basically rewrite every guide
to make sure that stuff actually makes sense. Right now theres a lot of mistakes
in this page (you could probabaly find a million on this page alone) and i dont
really want to rush this massive update of the site. Its kinda like that 3d update
for RuneScape: they want everything to be just right before releasing it. It's
looking a lot better than the old one and it has a lot of better quality to it.
Now lets all hope that it works...

Alright, I wanted to sincerely apologize for the long period of no updates. I
have been working very hard lately to completely redesign this entire site with
a better look. But, to do this I need some time to completely redo the existing
guides and important stuff (which just so happens to take a long time). Now,
instead of rushing to finish this site and have all sorts of mess-ups and junk
like that, I'm taking it page by page redoing EVERYTHING. A feature I am hoping
to get to very soon is printable guides. the existing guides are very difficult
to print (a lot of the text is in white). so far it looks very good. Of course,
the web address will still be the same:) and as always, there will still be pictures
of a lot of the stuff I mention in the guides. Well, I'm going to get working
and ill keep you all posted!
