Submitting Queries to Jagex
Written By Ltfairy
Special Thanks To Shadow The Stormer, Paladin Due to changes to RuneScape and Jagex's customer support methods, this guide is inaccurate. It remains on the site for legacy/reference reasons only. Submitting a query may not be a big deal, but if you can submit your queries correctly, there may be a greater chance that your query gets answered. Note: Recently this feature was removed from the Runescape main-page. This guide is now here to show you how it was done even though you can't use this feature. To write a query to Jagex, click on "Comment on our service' link on main RuneScape page.
You will then be taken to a page like this: ![]() There are basically 5 types of queries you can send, they are: Sometimes, you may see inappropriate advertisements on RuneScape front page. This is the time when you send an advert complaint to Jagex. 1. First click on the link as shown below. You will be taken to a page with some articles about adverts on Runescape. ![]() 2. Click on "Submit an advert complaint" link on that page. ![]() 3. Log in. Fill in as much detail as possible. ![]() 4. Click "Send" to submit your complaint. Wait patiently and Jagex will reply back to you. If you are a member, it will be easier that you submit your suggestions on the Runescape official forums. But if you are a non member, you should try submitting them through customer support. For Non-Members 1. Go to "Other Comments" section and click on the link there. 2. Log in. Give a title for your message, and if you can, direct the message to a Jagex Moderator in Customer Support. (You can find their name in the credits list on Runescape website) Here is what your query should look like. ![]() By giving a title, the Jagex Moderator reading your query will know what you are submitting. By inserting a certain Jagex Moderator name in your query, the message you sent will be forwarded to that Jagex Moderator. Again, please wait patiently for the Jagex Moderator to reply. This query is only sent when you are concerned with how Jagex handles your private information such as your home address. You should try reading their Privacy Policy first before submitting a query, so that you are not asking a question answered in their policy. 1. Click on the "Privacy Concern Message" link. ![]() 2. Log in. Like the game suggestions query, give a title for your message to make the objective of the query clearer. Here is how your query should look like: ![]() Please wait patiently for Jagex to reply. It can take a while, depending on how many messages Jagex receives. Here is where you can vent your frustration on the game features or on your false bans/mutes/black marks. (Any part of the game you are unhappy with, which includes your unhappiness about moderators) However, take note that respect for Jagex is the ultimate way to get Jagex to respond to your query. Remember that no matter how frustrated you might be, you should put across your frustrations in a polite but firm manner. Flaming at Jagex in a query will get you nowhere but an automatic reply. 1. Click on the link provided. ![]() 2. Give a title on the area you are complaining about. Remember to keep your emotions down when you vent your frustrations, and if possible, give suggestions on how to improve the situation. Here is how your query should look like: ![]() As you know, Jagex probably receives tens of thousands of complaints from players, so you do have to be extra patient while waiting for a reply. But as long as you submit your query in a proper manner, Jagex will try to answer them as fast as possible. Here you can submit your questions for the game, or any other type of query that does not belong to the rest of the categories. 1. Click the link provided. 2. Give a title to specify the type of query you are submitting. Be specific in your message, especially when you are asking a question related to the game. You should consult the knowledge base if you have a game question, and only submit the query when the knowledge base does not provide the answer for you. Here is what your query should be like: ![]() Just wait patiently, and Jagex will reply back to you as soon as possible. |
