Classic Fletching
Fletching is an important skill in RuneScape. Especially to
people who prefer ranging over close combat. You can make your own arrows
and bows, and eventually make more powerful ones. This is a Members-only skill.
Making Arrows
Arrows are the first things that you can make with fletching. There are 6
different kinds, ranging from Bronze to Rune, and the better ones inflict
more damage than regular ones.
Arrows in 3 Easy Steps
- Arrow Shafts
 can be made by cutting down a regular tree, and then using a knife to cut
the logs into shafts. Each set of logs can make 10 arrow shafts.
- Feathers are looted from chickens, or bought from the fishing
shops in Port Sarim or Catherby. Use the feathers with the arrow shafts.
- Arrowheads can be smithed. Each bar of metal can make 10 arrowheads.
You can also buy them from the archery shop in Catherby.

Notes:
- You get 5xp from making arrow shafts, and another 10 for feathering
them.
- The better the arrow, the more damage it will inflict.
- Weapon poison potions
 will poison 10 arrows.
Making Bows
Once you've gotten better at fletching, and you've made your
own custom-fletched arrows, you will probably want to begin making a better
bow to use with them.
Bows in 3 Easy Steps
- Bows can be made by cutting logs into a bow. As you get better
at fletching, the
 rare trees that you have seen
can be cut into stronger bows!
- Bow Strings are made by picking the flax
 around Camelot, and then spinning it into a bowstring on a spinning wheel.
- Stringing the Bow can be done by using the bow string with the
unstrung bow.
