These are all of the question's I've gotten during February 2004, when the Q&A page was started. T. Stevenson Q: How many people actually run this website? Are there a lot of people or is it just you Sal? Also I heard that you were affiliated with RS Planet. Is it true? A: Well, it's really just me that runs the site. That's why it takes forever to get things updated, as opposed to the other sites that have an entire 'staff' working on their site. As for any affiliation with any other RuneScape site... well no, this is really the only website I own (and run!). Jon 3 Questions: 1. What is the highest lvl you can get? 2. What leaf makes a strength pot? 3. How much money do u get from High Alchemy a Bow String?And there are 3 dragon items right? Well, it looks like there are 4 questions, but here's the answers to them:
R eapa H um...will there still be masks in rs2 and other holiday drops like that? and what is the cost of a r2h! are the items at different costs? A: Yes, all the holiday drops are still in RS2, and they look really nice by the way! Depending on the person you're buying from, R2h's might cost more or less, but the price shouldn't really be affected. Arcade how do u get a Scythe and what's so good bout it? A: Scythes were the holiday drop for Halloween (2003). They are untradeable, so you can't get one anymore. Bob Q: bob again and I'm wondering how to cut spider webs and strong spider webs? A: You can cut spider webs by using a weapon such as a sword or axe with it. Soon after you cut it, the spider web will grow back so be careful. MonkeyMan are there any 2-hander shops in the free world? A: Unfortunately there are no 2-hander shops in the free world. NaughtyNight can some1 tell me how to make dart tips?? I have been ask'n ppl for days now and they don't know how to make them either. A: To make dart tips you need to have first done the Tourist Trap Quest. then, get a bar of metal and use it with the anvil. Click "Make Missile Heads" and then Dart Tips. Vince Q: well I've been in Varrock square for the first time and people are selling black scimitars and black hatchet for lots of $$$ so I want to know where people get these "rare" items like black but I've looked in the specific stores and they don't have them so I'm just wondering where do these two items originate? can I get them? (I'm a nonmember) and can I get them without getting killed (I'm lvl 51 combat) so will you help me find out or do you already know? A: You can buy some black items from the Champions Guild, as well as some of the other stores throughout RuneScape. I believe that Dark Warriors drop black hatchets, maces, and medium helms, and they are free-play. As for scimitars, I've got no idea, but it's rumored that Black Dragons drop them (although they are members only monsters). Question Master!!! Q: how do I make cannon balls??? A: What good is a cannon with no ammo? You need to have completed the Dwarf Cannon Quest and have at least 30 smithing. Make/buy as many steel bars as you want, and use the bar with a furnace to heat it. I believe there is a specific mold that you receive once completing the quest - you need it to make the ammo. Pav256 Q: I'm lvl 42 mining and I want to know is there any way to gain easy mining lvls. A: Well, there's really no way to get easy levels in anything, you just need to work at it. I would suggest that you mine iron without putting it in the bank (a.k.a. power/drop mining). Find a place with 2 rocks near each other and mine like crazy! Jared Q: Will there be equiptable rings in RS2? And what type of attributes will they have? For example, will they add to defense, weapon aim, power?? all of the above? A: Yes, rings are finally equiptable in RS2. I'm not quite sure, but I didn't really notice a difference in any of my stats when I put one on for some reason. I think they will be like amulets: one adds defense, one adds strength, etc. Jbpesos Q: Will free players ever be able to play RuneScape 2???? A: Of course free players will be able to play! As soon as all (or most of) the bugs and kinks are worked out it will be released for all to play. It's a good thing too, because I know a lot of good people who are free players. ;) Bob Q: where do you mine Rune in the nonmember world? Where do you mine Mith? And where do you mine Addy? A: Ahh, a true miner! Rune can be found near level 46 Wilderness, where you can find several rocks to mine. Just be careful of PKers around there! Mithril and Adamantite can be found in several places. The Edgeville dungeon and the Al Kharid Mine have both ores. 3 Mith rocks exist in the Miner's Guild but you need at least 60 mining to get in. The Lumbridge Swamp has loads of Mithril too. Samwize 23 X Q: ok I'm having trouble staring RuneScape. I've been playing for almost 4 years but on the same computer. now I don't got java and need help finding where to get the right one to play RuneScape ne1 got anyplace i could go??? A: Lately many people have been having this problem. The best thing to do would be to go to java.com and grab the free download of the VM (Virtual Machine) by clicking on the "Manual Download" button. Depending on your OS, you can either read the instruction, or hop right in and click "Download." The instructions give a detailed explanation to installation, and after all that it would be a good idea to first restart your computer (if it doesn't already tell you too) and try playing RS. Jtown Q: how far do the boundaries of rs1 extend in the free version??...can u use the whole world? A: The boundaries in RS1 extend all the way to the east, up to the Member's Desert Outpost. It stretches all the way west until the Druid's Village, and on Karamja until the city of Brimhaven. It goes all the way north until a fence blocks off level 51 Wilderness as well. David Q: is it true that king black dragons drop Dragon meds, Dragon half shields, and Rune 2 handers? A: Although the chance is slim, they do drop them once in awhile. You just need to be lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time, not to mention being able to kill enough of them off to get one! Diablo Q: I am not a noob (level 52) but I still don't know one thing. :P When you die do you keep most expensive items? My friend says that 3 first items. A: When you die, you keep the 3 most valuable items in your inventory unless you have a skull over your head from attacking another person in the wilderness. If you use the prayer Protect Items you can keep 4 items. Kronik Q: I just wanted to know if I should use my autominer and what the risks are if I do. Thanks. A: Well this subject is a little tricky, and there's a lot I could say about it. Unlike Jagex, I don't condemn them, but I don't use one. Firstly, I would suggest scanning it for a virus just to be sure. If Jagex catches you using it in the game, your account may be banned, and I'm not sure if they still IP-ban players anymore. If they IP-ban you, you will not be able to log into RuneScape from your computer unless you change your IP address. I would also suggest reading the Security Guide for more info. Freddie Q: When is RS2 coming out???????? A: Well, your guess is as good as mine, but I believe that Jagex said something about March. So *maybe* next month, but I think it's a safe guess to say sometime this summer. Bob Q: How do I get a monster mask? A: Monster masks were a 1-time-only drop for Halloween a couple years ago. The only way to get one would be to trade another player in the game for one. Pav256 Q: Where is the best place to mine? A: Well, it depends on what you want to mine. The Mining Guide has some useful places for beginning miners to start out. Ty Q: Where is the best place to power mine iron in the free world? A: There's a few good places to power mine iron in the free world. My favorite is the Al Kharid mining place so that I can mine iron for xp while waiting for the Mithril and Addy. There's also a place near Varrock to mine iron without being attacked by any nasty buggers. Question Master!!! Q: What is the quickest way to get rich? (I'm a member) A: It really depends on what you like to do. Miners can make a good amount of cash by mining coal, and good smithers can make even more. Fishing is also a profitable skill once you can catch lobsters and higher level fish. Fletching can also make a nice amount of money by making bows and such. Other skills can make lots of money too, you just need to find a skill that you like. Iamtheone79 Q: On rs2 when they release it for every1 will u be able to duel... because you can't duel on it now... A: Yes, dueling should be available on the full release of RS2. Since it's only the beta right now, not all of the features are ready. I'm guessing that dueling will be released into the beta just before the full release so that members can test it out, but that's only my guess. Sk8er Q: what is for sale in the Hero's and Legends guild? A: In the Hero's guide there is a Dragon Axe that you can buy, and that's about it. I'm not sure about the Legend's Guild, but there's rumored to be white capes and half of the Dragon Shield to buy there. dgfhdhfg Q: hey this is dgfhdhfg again and I no this is more of a question than a tip but, I can manage to get a scythe by talking to the clothes lady in Varrock but all my other friends can't. does Jagex staff like pick 1 person out of every 10 to be able to get a scythe? A: No, they don't pick 1 out of 10 people to get a scythe. Most likely you lost it in a battle or some other way, but to make things fair you are able to get it back from the clothing shop, should you loose it. dgfhdhfg Q: How do you get into the cooking guild? A: The requirements to get into the guild are just 31 cooking. You also need to be wearing a chef's hat, which are sometimes dropped by Imps. |
