Q: Hey sal this is an awesome website. You havent answered any of my other questions but can you please please please answer this one.How do you make things into "certs"?I really need to know. Please answer!!!!

A: Certs are only available in RuneScape Classic. When you had enough of an item you would speak to one of the certificate merchants in Draynor Village to have them exchanged for certs. Certs have been replaced with Bank Notes in RuneScape.

Rusty Nail
Q: its been a long time since i last put a question in, so here goes. i saw a dude with something that looked like a giant warhammer,it looks cool and i bet it attacks good aswell.i was wondering where i can get it? thx sal nice site by the way :)

A: You most likely saw the person carrying what is known as a Granite Maul. You can only get 1 from Gargoyles and Nechryaels, both Slayer monsters (or from trading another player).

Arcticomega
Q: Hey sal, great site! I was just wondering, where do you think the creepiest place in runescape is in term of monsters? Keep up the great work. =)

A: Well, I think that any of the Slayer dungeons would have to be the creepiest places in RuneScape, as there are all sorts of odd-looking and dangerous monsters there. =P

Gruntastic1
Q: Hey its me again i was wondering if, in any way besides donating, i could help the site. Sal, im saying this from the nicest, gruntiest part of my heart, if there is please post this up and answer it!

A: Well, you could always join the forum and become an active member. :) Submitting missing guides to the site is also a great way to help out.

Q: dear sal,
Just wanted to say your site is awesome I now have like 26 quest points thanks to you. I just want to know were can you get a dragon scimitar, abyssal whip and granite maul? PLease reply

A: Dragon Scimitars can be bought from Daga's Scimitar Shop located on Ape Atoll. Abyssal Whips and Granite Mauls are both dropped by Slayer monsters. You can get an Abyssal Whip from an Abyssal Demon, and a Granite maul from either Gargoyles or Nechryaels.

Kynred0
Q: hi nice site sal! errrrm rite my questions is where is canafis???? i have searched far and wide to find the place but still no joy. i would be greatfull if you could help. cheers

A: Canifis is just northeast of Varrock. You need to complete the Pries in Peril Quest before you can get there.

Enmoranay
Q: Hey Sal, I love your site alot, it has helped me a lot. But my question is that I asked everyone I know and people I don't if they know where spears are sold. No one knows, can you tell me? Thanks. Please reply soon, I really need to know.

A: Currently there isn't a shop where you can buy spears. Instead you need to kill monsters for them, or trade from other players.

Dragonsord90
Q: sup sal this site is da bomb ! i hear u get that a lot.more than alot more like everybody that plays runescape. aaannnywho can u plz write back ASAP! how do u install runescape! now it wont let me logg on. How ? u no at da part where it laods like it says loading graphics yea that dosent happend.there a "X" at da top left corner plz write back i begg of u ! i'll do anything ! plz tell me

A: If there's an "X" in the top corner, it means that your Java is not working (or isn't installed). You should go to the Java website and get the download for your computer. After installing it, restart your computer and RuneScape should now load.

PinkFloydBoy
Q: hi sal. me again. I've been trying to use Mozilla with runescape, and it won't let me. When i try to "install missing plugin," it always sais "no suitable plugins found." plz tell me what i should do. cuz its driving me nuts. lol. ppreciate it.

A: If you can't get the plugin from within the browser, just try going to the Java website (in the above question) and getting the plugin from there.

Some Dude
Q: How do u check your quest points? I mean, in some quests u need a certain amount of quest points and instead of walking to the place where u start it, and finding out u dont have enough, i wanna know i can start it without dissapointment. So answer ASAP! THNXS

A: you can check your stat points from the stat menu in RuneScape. It's at the bottom of the menu and should tell you how many points you currently have.

Kell
Q: Hey sal, love ur website. I have a question, where do u get dragon longswords??? Thanks, and I hope you answer.

A: You can buy a Dragon Longsword from a man in the Lost City of Zanaris. You must first complete the Lost City Quest, and then you need a Diamond to enter the room to buy the sword.

Trumpet God
Q: hey sal
ts the god of trumpets again.what is an auto miner and what does it do? should i risk the chance of getting a virus by downloading one?thanks bye

A: An autominer is a program that supposedly mines for you. You would set it up on your computer, tell it what ores to mine and it would "auto-magically" mine for you. Some claim to power mine, others deposit the ores in your bank. Most are fake, however and are almost always backdoor trojans that will keylog your computer and steal your account (along with anything else of importance). I strongly suggest NOT to download it.

Shraiker13
Q: Hey Sal,
Ok my question is ive heard from various site about runescape that if you wanna get a santa hat of halloween mask wihtout buying one you can kill high lvl monsters on the same day they were dropped and the monsters will drop them. Is this true?

A: No, the only way that you could Get a holiday item would be from the actual drop on that day. Monsters would not drop them, they would instead appear on the ground. The only way to get 1 of those items now would be to buy them from another player.

Q: Ok, a jagex member asked me to give me my password to see if I cursed at all because someone supposply reported me. I didnt curse, but if he said if i did give him my password, he would ban me. I told him that i did not see a crown by his name so i wasnt going to tell him my pass. He said he was a new jagex member and did not recieve his crown. His name is Rs7 account. Should i tell him my password?

A: No, you shouldn't give him your password. Jagex will not ask for your password EVER! They only contact you from your message center, for one thing. Since they didn't have a crown next to their name, they obviously weren't a moderator, so don't even pay attention to him (in fact, you should have reported him).

Leatherqueen
Q: firstly, great site!!:-) but my question is, about this treasure trail, is it members only? and also how come you can't bring armour into entrana?

A: Yes, Treasure Trails are members only. The reason you can't bring any armor to Entrana is because the monks are peaceful, and they don't want any fighting going on in their island. :-)

Nathan2000
Q: Hi i am a big fan of your website and runescape.Anyway i have a question about navigating with a sextant.I cant figure out how the degrees works. Can u tell me how it works?(Sorry i made this so long.)

A: Well first you need to click on the sextant. Use the up and down arrows first to get the horizon in the center of it, and then use the left and right arrows to move the sun into other middle. Then click on the "get location" button to get your current position in degrees and minutes. If the clue has an east direction, you'll need to go east. It should have a number like 2 or 4, and depending on how far south or east you are, you'll need to go further east or west. The same goes for the north or south coordinate.

Trirage
Q: Hey i love the site...and i figured you might have the answer to my question...ok the "black hole"is it still accesible in runescape classic?I know this is probably a stupid question...but i wanted to know so thank you.

A: No, the Black Hole was removed from RSC awhile back. I think it was because people thought that it was just a fun joke to be stuck in the Black Hole, and that wasn't what Jagex wanted, so they took it out of the game.

T Mac Man
Q: wicked site sal, i go here for everything RS. anyway, a lot of people say that you have to do dragon slayer to wear green dragon hide body, i thought it was just rune. plz plz plz answer, thx!

A: Actually, you need to complete Dragon Slayer to wear both the Rune Plate body and Dragonhide body.

Davester28
Q: Only been playing 1 week, but I can't seem to find info on what the different "wild levels" correspond to. What is the diff between wild level 1 and wild level 10 ? etc... PS Great site... hope a lot of players send in a donation! (I just did)

A: Wilderness levels just mean that certain level players can attack you. For instance, if you were level 50 and in level 3 Wilderness, player ranging from 47-53 could attack you. If you were in level 20 Wilderness player from levels 30-70 could attack you. It mostly just tells you what range of players can attack you.

Agent Jake 1
Q: Hey sal how come u have not been answering any questions i asked? i waited for months for this questions so i hope u answer these =)
1) can u change your skin color in runescape 2?
2)how come when i dont do anyone it just logs out by it self or i get teleported somwhere.
hope u answer

1) Yes, the Makeover Mage located in a small house north of the Crafting Guild may be able to help you with changing your skin color.
2) It actually does this to anyone who hasn't clicked or taken any action in the game for 60 seconds. If you leave the game or don't do anything for awhile, you'll get logged out. It's always been like that in RuneScape to prevent the servers from getting full.

Sworn_Evil
Q: I love your website! I was just reading your Q's and A's and I came up with a question. Where do I figure out what Runescape's updates are going to happen in the future. You said that you thought that runescape might come out with "houses" in 2005... where did you figure that out because I am intrested in knowing what runescape's future plans are. Once again, I think your website is great!

A: Well, Player Owned houses were announced by Jagex quite awhile ago. First they were announced in RSC, but they stopped working on the idea. They had a list of planned updates for RuneScape, and in there was Player Owned Houses. I'm almost certain that you can still find it in the News & Updates part of the RuneScape site.

Rarejoop
Q: Hello Salmoneus. Nice that you can mine runite. I have a Question about my computer and runescape. Runescape is very slow at my computer and i haven't any games on my computer, Internet connection is great. I allways have rs on low detail also. Is it the fault of my computer of the fault of Jagex. Maybe its strange i ask you but thanx anyway

A: It sounds like your computer needs more memory to run RuneScape smoothly. You can also try playing on low detail to see if it's any better.

Kaka Eter
Q: hi salmoneus great site !!! ive got soem questions for you: what is charcoal? ive seen some people say " selling rare charcoal 1k ea" but ive bought one somewere else (from a player) for 100 gp what is it and what is it for???

A: Charcoal is used in the Legends quest, and it has no other use. It's not rare, as you can just use coal with a fire to make it. Or, you could buy it from a shop north of Tai Bwo Wannai.

Meen Masheen
Q: Hi Sal great site. Somebody told me the other day that if you go too far into the wilderness you cannot teleport. Is this true? If it is, how deep in the wildy? Thanks

A: When you go past level 20 Wilderness, you'll be unable to use any teleport to get out. This includes magic spells, rings and amulets.

Tasty Monke6
Q: Hi sal! Can you settle an argument between a friend and I? My friend says that there is some kind of hally shop in Mort'ton. I can see from the map that there is a general store there, but I know that there isn't a hally shop. Can you tell me if they sell hallies in Mort'ton, and if not, is there any way besides killing enemies and buying from other runescapers to obtain them? Thanks a lot Sal!!!

A: No, there isn't a Halberd shop in Mort'ton, but there happens to be one in Isafdar, located in west RuneScape. Before you can access the area you need to complete the Regicide quest.

Regeaholic15
Q: hey, u never answer my questions. i was wondering how u get steel gauntlets, and can u get steel boots? thanx, ur site is awesome

A: You can get steel gauntlets from completion of the Family Crest Quest. Those gauntlets can be enchanted into 1 of 3 different kinds (check the guide for more info). Steel Boots can be obtained from some of the new Slayer monsters such as Basilisks and Pyrefiends, as well as the new Dragons.

Coolio208
Q: Sal ur website is awsome!!! To let u know I'm a memeber.
Q: Where r the maple trees and can non-members and members can cut it.
Q:I have another file non-member and I ask where the maple trees r? But they reply members can cut maple but on the lvl sklls thing it does not say members skill

A: You can find Maple Trees near the Seer's village, and along the road to Rellekka. Members can cut them, but there are currently no Maple Trees in free-play RuneScape. Most likely, the reason for the logs not showing up as members only logs is that they can still be TRADED on free-play, but there aren't any trees on free-play yet.

Gob
Q: hi its me again anyway if i become a member for 1 month and use my bank space more than freeplayers can then become a freeplayer wat will happen to the stuff in the members side of the bank? thnx

A: Everything will still be there, and you'll be able to take everything out. There just won't be any room to put more stuff into it.

Wonder Skeet
Q: I have a question. Where do you get colored gloves from anyway. Also this site is freaking awesome!!!

A: Colored gloves can be bought from the clothing shop in Canifis for around 750gp each. There are also colored robes, hats and boots that you can buy from there.

Forest3Fairy
Q: Hey, i'm new to this game, so i was wondering if you could answer a few of my questions plz. a reminder, I AM a noob, so these are noob questions!!;-)
1. Why is it so hard to raise your lvl??
2. Why do we have to pay 5$ a month to be a member? My parents won't let me pay the 5, but I really want all the AWESOME outfits and weapons.
3.After I send in a report, does the staff recieve it and ban them automatically??
thx, Forest3Fairy P.S. AWESOME WEBSITE!! IT IS MY HOMEPAGE IT'S SO COOL!! THX SO MUCH FOR CREATING IT!!

A:
1. It's difficult to raise your levels because if it was easy, everyone would be level 99 in each skill and there wouldn't be much of a reason to keep playing.
2. Jagex uses the money from Members to pay for new servers and to keep the game running. That's their main source of money so that they can pay for the costs of running a game like RuneScape.
3. No, the customer support will read through your report and make sure that what you're saying is true. Depending on what the player has done, they may just get a warning (or they could be banned if it's a serious offence).

Sugar Power
Q: Fist of all i love your site. At the end of a treasure trail i got a Torn page 1(s)and a Torn page 1(g). Do you have any idea what i can or have to do with it? And is it worth something, should i keep it? Thanks

A: Those torn pages can be used with a prayer book received from the Horror From the Deep Quest to make the book more powerful.

Gregory
Q: I can see people using a magic bow and it dose this werid thing it shoots arrows with a blue green color...what is that and do you need to do a quest to do that...dose both long and short do that? Gregory120

A: That's actually the special attack for the Magic Bow. Different weapons including Dragon Weapons, Magic Bows, Rune Thrown Axes and Excalibur each have their own special attack which can be accessed in the Combat Style menu for the item.

Starfire509
Q: Hey Sal, great website! What's this treasure trail thing about? What can you get in it? Where is it? Thanks, great website again

A: You can start Treasure Trails by defeating enemies and getting a Clue Scroll. You have to solve the clue in order to get another one, until you find the treasure. Treasure Ranges from Runes to Trimmed armor to God Armor and other new items.

Rhombus222
Q: hey sal!!!!,
i have a couple questions 4 u.
1)i've heard rumors about rs2 having houses to buy and same with land is this true?
2)do party hat, bunny ears, and all those things...like give u stat bonuses that things like that?
3)can members turn into imps and bunnies? my friend said he was a "bunny weeeeee" is this true?
4) y haven't u answered any of my other questions? (i've looked at all the other Q&A's and the questions weren't there)

A:
1) Currently there aren't any player owned houses for sale in RuneScape, but Jagex has been planning them for sometime in 2005.
2) No, holiday items don't give any bonuses in RuneScape, although Santa Hats used to add 3 to magic in RSC.
3) Members can be turned into Sheep, Imps and Bunnies during Castle Wars. If you wear a piece of god armor, clothing or a symbol and walk into another God's portal, you'll be turned into an animal (Imp=Zamorak, Bunny=Saradomin, Sheep=Guthix).
4)... :-)

Spinny458
Q: Hi Sal its me again!!!!!!! Any way I really want a god staff and a god cape but no one will sell it to me!!!!!!!! How do you get them in the first place? Peace out Salmoneus fans!!!!!

A: God Staffs and Capes can be obtained from the Mage Arena in the Wilderness after defeating the 5 forms of Kolodion.

Grant
Q: During gameplay, what do the two crossed sword at the bottom right mean? By the way, fantastic website

A: Those crossed swords mean that the area is a multiway combat zone, where multiple players can attack a single enemy (multiple monsters can attack a single player too).

Not 2 Smart
Q: Hi Sal I just have an question but first I wanna say that your site is da BOMB and I love it (as does everyone else!) I especially like ur guides, they r so helpful for every1! Well there isn't a cancel button and i was wondering if u could make the box go back to regular chat without logging? Thx Sal!! :)

A: If you don't want to send a PM to a person, but you've already clicked on their name, just clear the message box and hit enter. No message will be sent. :)

PKmage188
Q: It's not really important but it's been bothering me quite a bit, how do you pronounce ardougne? Also, If you die in the agility arena in brimhaven, do you lose all your stuff (besdies 3 items) and go back to lumbridge? Thanks Sal!
BTW your site is awesome!

A: Ardougne is pronounced something like: "Ar-doon." And yes, if you die in the Brimhaven Agility Arena you'll end up in Lumbridge with nothing but your best 3 items
